Gongrats to all the cars. Everything here was a bitchin ride (or track) that I wouldn’t mind owning.
So, does third get anything? (Man, I probably sound like a gold digger)

Well Betty, I have to ask about performance. I recently used these because the original ZZse battery source disapeared. The batteries I used didn’t put out a lot of juice. I got them from an enertec and I tried it in the extremely light HO slot car bit I have. They were slow when compared the dual 1/3aaa, so I put the 1/3’s back in. The original ZZse batts seemed much better. I know nimh is nimh and they don’t really differ from batt to batt, but this might just be one of the exceptions. What do you think?
OOOOHHHHH! I see now that I was ignorant. Thanx for clearing that up B. I still think some companies are a little sketchy. But then again I wouldn’t know either way.
I’m not so sure that BCG really does make a 3.8. I’m skeptical about TRC selling it that way. BCG’s are from Japan. I was over there for 4+ years and never saw this motor anywhere. Plus I’ve never heard of it anywhere else either. I like TRC, but I’ve never bought from their store. I know the money goes to support the site, but the prices are still too high. Their R-spec II is $10! And that’s suppost to be on sale!
They have alot of motors that are under different names. I’m kinda curious about that. I wonder if they just change the end-bell and rename it.
You better give yourself a 10 to offset the 1 I’m gonna give you!
Only kidding pimp. I wouldn’t do that to you. Although this does present a dilema. How can I judge farely when I want to win? I guess I’ll be throwin some 10’s around anyhow. Gotta keep it fare. Besides, I don’t expect to win. I just came to compete.
They are $9.99 (US) at K-B Toys. I can’t remember if you guys have that store over there, but you might find it on their web site.
bump. I thought this should be moved up so everyone can find the link. It was on page 2.
I’m workin on somethin. Should be done soon. I don’t expect to win against all the pro modders out there. I’m going to submit something with a body kit and custom paint with my usual electronics package. The body kit and paint style are a first for me, but I think it’s lookin good enough to be competative. It’s definitely been alot of work.
Well, I used a superslick motor. It’s much easier than trying to weld a mini water cooler.
It works awsome and is much faster anyways.
The wire placement is either the same or close to the same as a sbcg. Have a go at it. If you mix a wire or two, then just reverse what you did. It wont hurt anything to get a few wires mixed up. Just put the red wire at the positive spot / V+ spot is and the black wire goes to where it says grnd or -.
Ditto. I’ve been wondering how to put good castor in these cars. That’s one of the things that really screw these cars up. Without good castor, they wobble all over the place. A few of my cars just happen to run really straight, but for the most part I have to work really hard to get them going straight.
Sounds like something was shorted out or you had a bad battery.
All Auzzies speak a strange language. I visited a couple times and I always said “huh?”.
How did you wire the cells?
Sorry to say this, but it’s too fuzzy. I can’t really make out the detail.
Hey 86. I was in Okinawa. I just moved back to the states.
The plastic bar-piece that moves right and left sometimes gets hung up on something. I’ll take a good small metal file and file all over the steering compartment to give that bar a little more room. That sometimes fixes it. It may also be the wheels/tires. If the chassis is warped in the slightest, then you’ll get a pull in one direction. A wheel might have a piece of hair caught in the axle. Metal flakes may have built up on one side. There are really a lot of things that may be causing the car to pull in one direction. It just take patience and fiddling. Some cars I will switch the whole steering assembly with another car and then it works fine in both cars. Mini steering systems can be touchy.
Is it a stock car? Did you mod it at all?
Actually, the cheese and macaroni thing is from an old beastie boys song. You would have to hear it I guess.
Yes, whitey raps again!
If she’s the chips, then I’m the salsa?!?!…………..

Makes sense. Thanx P! I’ll try it.
I would also never try to do too much to a car from the Dark Tari collection. Maybe a fet mod?!?! But it would most likely be for show and tell, not racing. I wouldn’t want to screw up the paint job.
OKI bus guides are the bomb!!!!
I missed that damn bid though. I got too busy to see it through. Got any more?
I don’t know if I’d really paint it or not. I’d have to see it in person. I have a thing about collectables. If it says “collectable”, but it’s nothing more than an unpainted car, then it would get painted. But if it really seems like a one and only then I’ll save it. I can put a pretty sweet paint job on bits, and the only thing I use clear shells for is to check the fitting after I add stuff. I’ve been known to buy really old comic books and then open and read them. Collectors everywhere pass out at the sight of things such as that. Oh-well!
I will say though, I do see certain bits as holy grounds. I would never mod or paint a bit “Netz Voltz” car. But I would mod and detail one of the gold or silver skylines or a disney resort criuser. Somethings are sacred and some things are just a gimmick. No offense to anyone who likes the gold and silver skylines. This is just my opinion and I can’t fault you for liking bits.
If she’s the cheese then I’m the macaroni!
NOOOOO!!!! NOT THE MATCHSTICK MOD! THAT’S THE MOD TO DESTROY ALL OTHER MODS!
UA, the mechanics of the steering are clean. I’ve taken it completely apart and put it back together again. No hair or anything. I found another motorworks car that does the same thing. I haven’t suped the second one up yet, and it doesn’t do it while still being a single cell. I think it’s a weight thing. I have other motor works cars that don’t do this. It seems to be a glich in just those two cars.
86, it doesn’t really happen while going backwards, but rather when I go forward while putting pressure on the back, or just letting it accelerate normaly. Although, you have a point. I don’t think I have any cars that go straight while going backwards, unless they are a slow stock car. In fact, I’ve found that if I get it to go straight while going in reverse, then it wont go straight while going forward. No real problem though because I want to go forward anyways.
Welcome to the forum 86.
The motor generates current? I thought it needed current to run??? Sorry, I’ve never heard this.
Actually, I just left Okinawa. I am in the military, but I will be working in Virginia (US) next. Where are you?
Let me guess, you’re in Naha or something and I should have been hitting you up a long time ago instead of being the lone mad bit racer. Other people raced, but I had to mod all thier cars to have any competition.
