well where do you get it? you keep talking about it but every time i ask you where to find it you dont answer.

thats the design so far, although i think the plastic i got is a bit too thick. this definately will be one hell of a low rider when im done!

yeah, wood was a possibility, but i think itd be too fragile in the long run. although light as hell, i dont think its the correct choice here. carbon or plexiglass are suitable, although i still have no idea where im gonna find sheets of carbon. any ideas?
the main concern i have with this is the aesthetic appeal of the shells i was hoping to fix, im still a bit lost on how to modify the chassis to allow for a lowered shell, so the cars look more lifelike.

ive done some ringing around, and i can get my hands on some 1mm thick acrylic/perspex/plexiglass (or flexiglass? you yanks make up stupid names even for things with names!) and im wondering if this would be any good? its relatively cheap at a $1AU for a sheet the size of a number plate, so this would be great. im still unsure if i want to make a bathtub or just a flat chassis….
bathtub would be easy with acrylic, i could just strip heat it and fold it up from a prism-net or something, but carbon would be harder to work with i assume..
for the wheels to join onto the chassis (the all important factor and hurdle here) im thinking of chopping up my clone chassis and simply gluing it onto the new chassis with the axle stuck inside. this would give the car 1mm less clearance and may help the problem of tipping/rolling at high speeds.
as it is now, i still have no idea how to mod the chassis so that it lets a shell sit on it properly. i love my 350z shell, but getting it to look decent on a bit is a task, the clearance between the rear wheel and the shell wheel well is a joke.
anyway, enough rambling for now, let me know what you think of the acrylic/perspex/plexiglass idea and i might go check it out tomorrow.

porn isnt really illegal here (nsw) but you cant really find it easily. sure 7/11 have those silly m15+ magazines aimed at horny teens, but you have to go into the city to find a porn shop.
although in sufers paradise, there was one every few blocks…
and fireworks being illegal sucks. although, its not like you cant set them off anyway. i thought you could get a licence for them though?
any chance of getting a customisable color scheme happening?
maybe as a subscriber feature?
i think AWD is a possibility, but the difficulty in constructing it would be pretty high. when you think about it, you gotta make all new knuckles for the wheels, or develop a whole new system thats not knuckles at all, especially if you want the wheels to have suspension.
where would i get sheets of carbon?
why does everyone say the 4.2s dont have torque? i have one in my FET booster and mine spins wheels on take off!

jamie, i run a 4.2 on single FETs and theres PLENTY of torque.
i run it on thick shaggy carpet no hassles. im even using high-speed gears and im getting loads of torque.what do i do at lunch time?
get out of bed :p
SUFFER!
i believe its an R30 skyline, drag racer i believe. it can be found in gran turismo 2.
on that note, i own an r30 datsun/nissan skyline 🙂 its older than me!
i have a tamiya QD series (early RTR) and its ok, although it doesnt resemble a built kit at all. take off the lexan body and its just like a tandy RC. its good though for kids starting out like myself that dont want to smash something that took me a week or so to build.
i was looking at a kit a while ago, but considering i hardly drive my QD anymore, driving my TA01 would be a one off thing.
plus, theyre only fun on wet roads, which is why a QD is good because its all enclosed 🙂
that racer chassis on the german site is beautiful:shock::shock::shock:
lets get some english construction info and templates, or something, anything dammit! *salivates over the stabilty that chassis would deliver*theres also a zip zaps flash game that involved collecting points to buy hop ups and then win drag races in an alley way. 3d shockwave game, and it saved your progress with cookies!
i looked at them on the site suggested in my thread about batteries, and it worked out to about 132AU for shipping of the battery and charger =
that equates to 780 bucks worth of car, and its not even 4WD…
christ.im considering it…it looks like a good kit, though how many copies of the mag do you need to buy…

just thought id bring this to everyone attention 🙂
we really are 1337 now fellas!my 4.2 has more torque than any of the motors i have, shen pinks, a tomy 2.2 and tomy 3.0.
it might be a meshing problem, but it actually spins so fast that it doesnt spin the gears for a second, it just churns.
