ph2t, Yes it s built with the neo magnets. Still going strong.

One other guy at work has ordered a Mini-Z and another is interested.

I gave the first guy some parts to help him out. He’s into electrical tinkering, so I gave him the burnt out PCB and Nelly too. I don’t think you would have wanted to fix it though, because by the time I gave up on it, all the soldered had melted really bad.

But I am waiting for the next revision Nelly for the Li-pols. Are you still working on that project?

Hope to hear from you soon. I’ll probably buy a couple.

Not home made. Just those little black donut that come with the mini-z spare parts bag. Same size as bearings.

Now I’m running the foams all the way around, front and back. The hook-up is incredible. My floors at work at very shiny waxed smooth floors, and I’m able to run with control on them.

    I’m very pleased now.

By the way, when will the Nelly Deluxe become available? I have some Li-po’s to install.

OK, figured this one out for myself. There’s some little spacers to put inside the wheels to make them fit. Also I used a bearing on one of them. Still the problem that Dinball doesn’t carry the front foams yet.

Thanks ph2t and Pete. I do have the Atomic MM motor mount. Problem was I had the wrong ball-diff. Now I have the right parts, but I still can’t see how to mount it. I looked at the Atomic site pictures. Can you point me to some instructions?

I see the Atomic motor can has two holes on the end where the shaft comes out of, I can see how to put two screws in there to hold the can to the mount, but is it held in any other way? The Atomic motor mount came with lots of little screws, where do they go?

Thanks for looking at these stupid questions.

I raced my friend at work, Phil, the guy with the X-mod. He is able to hook up a lot better since he has all wheel drive. I have to be very careful not to give too much power and have the back end of the car spin around to where the front should be.

His turning radius is shitty because it’s an X-mod, but he is still able to put the power to the ground better. Any tips for me on beating him?

    Thanks, Izord.

I have ordered two already, and I’m waiting for the deluxe to order two of them! Thanks PH2T!

By the way, what kind of motor mount is that? It looks pretty trick. I ordered an Atomic one from Mini-z racer, and I got it, it was a silver one, but I couldn’t figure out how to mount it. I think it is meant for a different version or something.

Do you have a part number for that red one? Thanks.

Sorry for the double post, kind of. I didn’t know it went thru the first time.

I have placed an order already! And I’m waiting for the Deluxe version to order some of them! Thanks PH2T.

By the way, what kind of motor mount are you running there? It sure looks trick. I ordered an atomic motor mount from mini-z racer, it’s silver colored, and I couldn’t figure out how to mount it. I think it may be for another version or something. Do you have a part number for that red one?

Which wire configuration do you recommend for a MM mini-Z MR02?

and I don’t see the option for “regular” on the order page, just “1-way” or “2-way”.

    thanks.

ph2t, I’ll take your advice on my next motor. I’d like to order 2 or three of your Whoa Nelly’s. Are you ready to take orders yet?

I was thinking of removing the switch, because I heard it robs power, but it seems with the Nelly it wouldn’t matter because the nelly takes power straight from the batteries and sends it to the motor, just using the PCB as a signal. Is that more or less right? Thanks.

I let it run on 2 cells in a big glass of water with a drop of dish soap for about 20 minutes. Then I rinsed it off real good, and ran it in clean water for 10 minutes. Then I sprayed it off real good with motor cleaner. Then sprayed it off again with WD40, and ran it in air, still on 2 cells for 10 minutes. Sprayed it with WD40 again, and another 10 minutes on 2 cells in air.

I guess that was way overkill. But it does run like a raped ape.

Does anyone know if I can run 2 Li-Pol cells (about 7.5 volts) with the stock FET’s?
