OK my test result – the Z is HEAPS faster than the auto modelista in boost mode. I put a 2.6 engine in the Auto Modelista and the Z still beat it (just) with it’s stock engine!

When out of boost the Z is still faster but the difference is smaller (and once I put the 2.6 in the Auto Modelista it was quicker in non boost mode)

Anyone got any idea why my steering would still be turning to the right with the trim adjusted fully the other way on my Auto Modelista?

I’ve checked to see if I’ve collected any crap on the under side of the car or in the front wheels and nothing obvious is there?

damn that was unclear – the turn to the right and jerkiness problems I’m having are with the Auto Modellista – it’s also making more of a “grinding” noise when running than my Skline (did )

I have the auto modelista set, I am getting a 350Z delivered today – I’m grumpy because I want a 300Z (Same car as I drive) and I can’t get one anywhere.

With my auto modelista it has BAD turn to the right disease – even with the Trim all the way over it still sometimes turns to the right.

I also have one of the special edition Skylines but I wrecked the PCB trying to get a cripple cap out 😯 (I think) So I’m gonna get a booster shell for it and run it that way…. (I’ll also get a friend of mine who can actually SOLDER to check it for me… SIGH)

I have also noticed that it’s a bit jerky in its movements sometimes when out of boost mode. I know that it isn’t the axel, gears or motors (I’ve replaced them all) Has anyone else had this problem?

I’ll race them tonight and let you know which is faster 😀

    Puffer:- Welcome!

btw JNH is the local distributor for the “Compact Bit Char-G” range… consisting of exactly Four cars in either 27Mhz or 40Mhz.

If you need a spare 45Mhz chassis you’re out of luck. However only the PCB differs, the plastics are 100% interchangeable.

So if its not the PCB you’ve skru’d up, perhaps JNH can help. Just don’t tell them its not a CCG. :smiley2:

    Hey thanks for the welcome!

Damn – no I think it was the PCB I screwed up, I’ll just have to get one of my mates (who can actually solder unlike me) to check it out 🙁

Just for the record… JNH are selling Tx for $10 and I asked the customer service lady if the entire kits could be bought piece meal, She said that they aren’t.

Just send them a cheque or money order and a note saying which frequency

Man I screwed up one of my Chassis big time 🙁
Good news is that it wasn’t one of my boosters! so how do you contact them to get a new one? (I am after a 45mhz)

OOh, and then we cold write it off on tax perhaps. Any really sneaky accountants that can help us all claim this hobby somehow in here?

The theory is pretty simple – in order to claim tax deductions you have to be making money from your “hobby”. If you can demonstrate earning income then you can claim your bits, etc as a cost of earning that money. So basically make some money with your bits and then you can deduct the cost of getting them. But be careful as you have to assign “personal use” percentages to your deductions, etc, etc. If you can prove that your bit activities earn money it’s worth trying to deduct some of the cost of your bits.
