Hey Sydney guys i found a hobby shop in Prospect and they have quite a bit of z stuff. They have Overlands, F1 and mini-z and an initial d version of RX-7 FD for $2xx. They have an x-speed there LED lights and heaps of servos and other stuffs.
I grabbed a set of 3 GPM h-plate there for $30 reasonable price and other stuff

I was wondering can we group buy from dinball(rcmart) instead because there are more variety there and there reputation is pretty good and the price is pretty good as well.

I don’t like T/E because they only sell Kyosho parts 🙁 and not other brands

Sorry guys couldn’t turn up because i was getting my FETS stacked this morning before the race but it ended up a mess~

It took like over 3 hours to stack, the guy was pretty experienced because he has previously stacked it before. He didn’t have his fine tip soldering iron with him so he used a thick stock tip but he still did a bloody fine job.

It was 1:30pm all 6×2 FETS were carefully stacked up and stock FETS were removed and basically he soldered the FETS on. The bloody black box got in the way and the thick iron just couldn’t get into the the last 2 tips. He manages to just touch them and it was all ready to go. Put the two cables in and switch the car on. No response accept the servo. Then the horror came. SHort circuit(ouch!) the red motor cable touched the stacked FETS and smoke came up!!
One tower of FETS fell off (bugger)
It was 2:00pm already so they have to shut down, so i got booted out~*dammm*

So i going back tommorow to fix the FETS up, bought a new soldering iron with a really fine tip 2mm i think.

All that speed just might not big enough for my car. I can’t wait!!

Talldude is out of this race mainly because he’s closest thing is a x-speed~ while i have a plasma and dgs has a ****** (stock motor LOL)

We usually meet up every sunday if the weather is fine and if there isn’t any netball going on.

We race at Meadowbank Netball courts, off Adelaide street. Check the exact location somewhere back in the thread~

Talldude u might think about it before buying that shell because i heard people from HK saying that the shell tends to flip alot around corners due to the size and the shape of the shell.

Well i have a RX-7 fc3s shell and it flip like hell when trying to turn with that shell but no flipping problems with the NSX~

depends that you want your car to be; a drag car

or a car that can turn swift corners. I want my

car to be a drag car so i gave my car FETS and

PLasma Dash.

Hey guys i just might be able to make it on sunday if the FETS are done by thursday (My local hobby shop is willing to stack it for me

By the way my dad used to work a Jigsaw this big clothing company and the company made heaps of posters out of this hard plastic materials.
We got stacks of them at home, the material is hard but light and i thought it might be suitable to make the track. I’ll bring some this sunday if i can make it.:question:

hahhaha petewah you got me there :smiley2: but i never blame anyone for anything, The badest thing that could happen to my car is like Geo’z’s car flying a couple of feets above ground and :dead::dead:

Well i’ve been thinking on how to improve my car and one main reason for the constant spin out and crappy turns is the crappy h-plate i got:evil: Is not CF! It’s aluminium or something and it’s bent already 😯
To fix this i’m planning to order a CF h-plate or an o-plate:smiley2::smiley2:

Talldude i got some Kyosho genuine servos, i lost a tooth on the first servo but i got the 2nd and 3rd servo lying around, which one do u snap?

But transport is still a problem though, but it would be fair for Melbourne people and Sydney siders to race at Melbourne, but racing in Canberra is still a long time plan but for now Sydney racing is the way!

Or another idea is to race in Canberra a place between Sydney and Melbourne~

But a realistic idea is that one person drives from Melbourne with all the other racers to Sydney and we race them!
