To make it completely realistic, you’d have to fade the paint unevenly just like the cars around here with those things!:p

When I was looking at WW2s, I found a body for it. Was some kind of super deformed buggy, complete with “Fearless Freddy” figure. I can get you guys the details if you want, although I personally prefer the classic Willys styling.

Impeza, I know how you feel. I live near Lake Erie, 40 miles south of Canada. Very cold right now!

If you’re going by Tamiya America’s pricing, yeah they don’t
do anyone any favours over there. They keep everything a
    premium-priced product over there. :dead:

Amen to that! In some cases it’s cheaper to import stuff from other countries!

Well, this is the tentative “project sheet” for my XMOD:

    Rechargeable NiMH batteries
AWD kit w/ front AND rear ball diff (this means that i’ll have to buy 2 AWD kits)
    Sealed bearings
    Team Orion MRS4 wheel lugs
Stage II motor w/ 10 tooth gear & heat sink
Soft treaded tires (front & rear)
    Hard springs (front & rear)
    4.5 degree toe-in

Any suggestions? After I finish this project, it’s on to an Overland!

Isn’t the Wild Willy 2 built on a modified TL-O1 chassis? I’m thinking abot getting the SVT Cobra Mustang kit, I wouldn’t mind a nice, cheap on-road car. Thanks for your review, it was quite a bit helpful.

I have a beach on a lake near my house, running there with a nitro is a lot of fun. Then you go home and clean out the secondary air filter. Not fun.

Nice pics Aaron! Glad you’re allowed to post big pics here, you can actually see details…

Heh, if it wasn’t for the snow, I’d find out right now. My buddy has a Factory Team GT, but he converted it to an RTR Plus because he kept breaking the graphite parts. Of course, he goes off of the huge jumps at motocross tracks…
By the way, you can see a pic of my chassis here:

This is my truck stock, a guy at the hobby store told me that each of my new wheels need to have some sort of rubber peice mounted on them.:p By the way, anyone have any recommendations for tires?

I’ve said, I’m looking forward to making up some custom parts, I’m getting a lathe in the new year, maybe a mill after that. I plan on doing a full propo mod and building an outdoor track using styrene for the racing surface.

This is what I wanted to e-mail you about! Would you be making parts like aluminum lower chassis, etc.?

Well, I really like my XMod, I bought it and I drove it for AT LEAST 2 hours straight. One of the few cars that I enjoy driving as much as I enjoy modding. As for mods, I at least want to get Team Orion HPI MRS4 lug nuts and sealed bearings, pluus the RS 4WD kit, suspension, tires, etc. Is the Mini-Z better? Yes. Will I ever get a Mini-Z? Probably. Does it prevent me from having fun with it? No!
By the way, can anyone post some links for those sealed bearings? Also, both RS’s in my area apparently ordered a few sets of the bearings to sell.

I didn’t have questions about your banning, just general stuff about future projects. ph2t said it best-you ARE MRCC. I am sad to say I was there at the moment when it fell. It’s all downhill from here-MRCC has lost its innocence.
