i’m pretty sure the monster knuckles have a longer axel, due to the wider rims. Cant remember thogh, been a while since i had one. Anyone care to confirm this for me?

Z Beam; in addition to Ken’s list, the 5.8mm and 4.8mm ball joints from Monster will fit

ah, good stuff Kev… hope to see you both there!! Oh, not sure if scrutineering is that harsh, but your car will be weighed for sure. Gotta beover 1530 gramswith transponder. Account for batteries losing a little weight too, they do as they lose charge, but only a tiny bit. Is it possible for you to remove some height off the spoiler if needed?

Pete;you can have it, it’s no good to me. Did’nt work properly since I got it. And i prefer to be able to put a motor in and it works, and not have tofiddle around with things out of my experience…

i could’nt vote in the pole because PURPLE was not present, but i’d say PURPLE with white (or silver, if using metallic paint)twin stripes down the centre, front to back. Red or royal/navy blue would be my other choices, but with white twin stripes. Up to you though, show us your creative side dude!!big.gif

hey kev when do we have to have entry forms in for the club challeneg?

kinda interested in mini class should b fun.

TD and Kev; 1st was the cut-off for the entries to be in, but i’m sure you can pay on the day, just a bit extra. Or give Jenni Thorne a call and she could take your details (that’s a maybe; not 100% sure about that…)

1st of June is the deadline I think. I haven””t got my entry in yet but will submit on Monday.

I””m planning on running 540 class with the Daves…

Does anyone know what scrutineering is like ? I can””t remember if the rear spoiler of my 350z is higher than the roof.

the end caps which i have (and we used yesterday) are almost the same shape, cut out of 12mm mdf and painting an obnoxious shade of bright orange. Easy to see, but still need to be fixed to the track. Oh, for more time to work on this thing… TD; the pvc I used is 25mm mate.

when do you mean Kev? Might be going this Friday, gotta talk to big Dave about it… would””””””””nt mind a bit of a hack *cough cough… waiting…* around their track before the inter club comp gets there. Need some practice up there i think…

You””ve answered my question. inter club comp is what I was referring to. Wouldn””t mind having a race with you guys… you guys entering 540 class ? I got to get permission first and if all is okay then submit my entry form.

Btw what””s ‘hack’ in terms of rc. Is that when you use your car to knock off an opponent intentionally ???

Now there””s anidea.. if there is one of those lap counting software available for the old palm pilot, I””ve got to download it.

yeah, we’re both racing in 540… I still have to get my entry form in for Brush Farm… will do that tonight. Hacking? Dave would say (rather, DOES say) it describes my driving style. Whatever.tongue.gif

struth, this is all happening eh? A question; if manual counting, why the laptop? And yes, manual timing is better than no timing at all… looking forward to a bit of timed racing on a Z scale…xp1700.gif

i use foamies sometimes, but mainly go with the rubber, about 20-30 degrees depending on temp. Being that it does’nt come out very often we tend to race what set upwe have on the track, but obviously hard motored stuff with 12+ tooth pinions need not apply! About 8 tooth and stock (or even X speed; there’s enough room…) is fine. An open race would be good though… What time you getting into Sydney Z beam? (unless you already are)

so we”re agreed… no kids and no dogs… neither can be trusted around Zs… though i think dogs are worse damage causers. Beware of Fluffy…
