Like DaveF, have done the Ausmicro logo for my (now nearly complete!!) track too, v. easy to do, 10 mins. from PC to vinyl cutter. Working on Bit sized ones now, approx. 12mm long…
What about light grey polo shirt?? Goes well with most colours, plus wont “drown out” the colours in the logo… just a thought:smiley2:

What about keyrings too?? Being in signage could prove usefull to y’all… Vinyl(stickers),engraved/cut-out metal/laminates, plus…
T-shirts!!! If this is a help, let me know. Rushn clothing (you familiar?) are literally above our workshop, and get us to do their logos for screenprinting alot. Logos are layed out using CasMate, the logo at the top of this site easy as, not sure about the car though…
    Your thoughts??

I agree with Shypo and Craz on this one… ive been choping little bita at a time of my AFX springs, and found 3 rings removed doesnt affect steering, but did tighten the cars turning circle. Thing is now, ive got to put the springs in my Compact, as i did the mod on a Cyclona… doh!!

Maybe the steering magnet has shifted to one side in its housing.
And where is everyone getting Fairlady Zs from?? Must be ordering online… I want one!!
My GTR makes a similar grinding noise to the one you guys described,
and I located the source of the problem (on my car, anyway.) It seems
to be caused by the pinion on the motor, which happens to be out of a
Cyclona… The pinion is a tiny bit smaller than the Tomy one, so everything seems to move a little more freely, but with that grinding noise. Makes up for it with speed though

Time to up the average… 30 years young and still going. Do tend to get some odd looks when purchasing parts, etc. but im having fun… and this technology wasnt around when we were younger, making the appeal that bit greater (for me, anyway!!)
By the way, ‘Playstation syndrome’ will not be avoided with an x-box.
Same syndrome, intensified by smaller range & quality of titles available. And my Compacts get their most use when the PS2 is on…
quick bursts of racing between Timesplitters 2 deathmatchs!! Makes waiting for another go that bit less tedious.:smiley2:

you mat find that you need to shave off abit of the inside right wheel(oposite the gear), not the wheel itself but the bit that holds the axle. The RPM motor from the K.I.T. cars is also a 2.6, plus they have a 3.0 that you can get seperately. I found that the motor from a Cyclona (Toyworld) works wonders, I just threw the motor straight into
my Compact and it goes hard. What size is the aqua pinion that comes with the Cyclona? Is it the same size as the black Compact/Bit pinion?
I ask because the aqua one seems abit smaller, allowing the motor to
    spin more freely.

I found a mix of x.soft (orange, K.I.T.) tyres and a Cyclona motor gives me the behaiviour you seem to desire… Takes a couple of seconds for mine to grip, and if its on lino… forget it!!!
Funny tho, I thought the soft tyres would AID traction. Why do you want it to spin out ?? Just mess about with different surfaces.
On the track surface note, thanx to everyone with ideas, went with
grey undercoat. Huge amounts of traction! (to the point I can now roll my GTR, not that i want to!!)

in reply to Impreza, the cars are 27MHz and 40MHz, so yes they are Compacts not Bits, not that that should make a major difference.
And yes, lose crap and hair, etc. doesnt even get a chance to accumulate!! Im guessing maybe something real small may have worked its way inside the motor, if thats possible.

Dont Compacts come with a 2.2? Maybe 2.6… Either way, they’re quick at first (new), plus the two problem cars are both less than 2 weeks old!! They both seem to struggle in forwards( not on any surface, either – being held!!),speeding up then slowing, then speeding up agian in small cycles. Wack it in reverse though, they rip! Have tried rotating the motor, there is NOTHING in the gears or round the axle, being they’re newish its abit odd.
Also, is double chargingan unmodded car a good or bad idea?? Should find out before i do it!:smiley2:

Oddly enough, two of the cars are less than 2 weeks old, and would be lucky to have topped the 100 charge mark. The Nicads have had nothing done to them (in reply to Impreza) but maybe they are abit weary.
