The four pen springs’s diameter is too big for the steering. U can go to Toys R Us and find the Slot car tune up set and use the springs in there. the set cost $7.99AUD.
THat’s true. And MOSFET and Dual Cell Will bring it to another level. WHich is great for driving on the bed.
To remove the sway bar. First let the car’s front face to you. then use your fingers to pull on the two sides of the sway bar and then lift the bar up and it’ll pop out.
If u remove the bar. it does affect the response of the steering. THe steering returns to straight slower. If u want to lower your Bit. Do the tab lowering, slot lowering and use springs on the steering instead of the sway bar. But in my opinion, the stock sway bar is low enough.
Do a Dual cell Mod will be ideal. A MOSFET on a 4.2 is a good idea. because it give the motor more current and increase the torque.
I think maybe a tricell Mod will bring u even higher Top Speeds but the lack of acceleration is the upset.
I agree with both of uA and ph2t. people started planning a meet in Melbourne like 1 month ago.
TORETTO: U live near Northland SC too? Where abouts(like which suburb)?
If u want to buy a clone to start with. Buy a Bit Char-A. I reckon it’s one of the good quality clones.
Here is the Ph2t’s topic on lower the center gravity, and click on the video, u will see his Bit drifting across the floor:

It might drift a little. But most likely, not fast enough for drifting. A MOSFET car and Dual cell is good for drifting if u get the tires, motors and suspension right.
ANd if u want to beat that kid in the race. Buy a 3.0 motor and put into MS. oh…and don’t tell him u got a 3.0 in there.:smiley2:
Put does superglue that when u use it u have to mix two substance together to make it work. i think it’s called something Epoxy.
i agree with M coupe. Dust is important on the tires. it’s better to use a stock(med) tire with dust on it instead of hard ribbed tires.
most cars out of box can run on carpet. u can just buy a MS and a new motor for it and u can race that kid. U just have to make sure that kid didn’t get his car DUal celled or MOSFETed. i doubt he did those mods but just to make sure.
By the way, how old r u titaniumonkey?I remember i posted a topic on the Bit CHar-A Previous i bought 2 months ago.
Here is the link to it:

Except it’s a metallic Blue Celica. The chassis is light grey. It does have better performance but the cleaness of the chassis is not as good(eg: the PCB cover didn’t attach to the chassis perfectly. etc). But everything else is good. Even the tires are better than the soft tires in the Tomy tire set. They don’t stick dust as much on them.
the main part u have to focus on is the tires and the steering if u want to drift. the correct motor is also important.
Quote:So does any1 have a plan to make bit char-g racers in mel gathering together because I never see a reality race except in video clip(hard to find ppl that playing bit char-g)Yeah, merc-blue is planning a meet in Melbourne and he is trying to find a school gym to rent for a day. I am trying to find a school gym too.
But i am not sure will we able to race on a track though. Drag race is possible.Quote:Beside if i’m not wrong there’s a guy in this forum that well-known for upgrading ppl car with a mod that make teh car faster if we send our car with 20$ i think, if I’m rite plz whoeva u r I wanted to talk to u bout it, THX !!!micro_Amps is the guy u can ask to do a mod for u. He lives in Mel too. Just check out his web site for prices and mods.
Oh…And welcome to the forum SUpra Boy.
Or and i guess the motor’s cap is a kind of orangy-red colour right?
Quote:i was playing with the above car and when reversed and driven forward after, it wheelstands quickly!I bought the same ones about 2 months ago. It also do wheelies. it has a really good motor. i paid $20 for it.
Prowler: do u live in Melbourne? iif u do whee did u get it?
One of my Dual Cell car can drift. It has stock tire on. it has a broken circuit(forward) so it goes same speed forward as a single Bit but has more torque. the tires got dust on it after play with it for a short time. then because it’s an external dual cell.the rear wheels got dust so it doesn’t have alot of traction so the rear been thrown out more than usual but not enough to let the car spin out. so all i have to is press the opposite direction to let it get back straight. and it can do does slidding donuts with a radius of about 30-50cm.
I will take a video of it once i can borrow a Digi Cam of my friend.Great Idea Racer9. I’ll find some engines from DieCast/Hotwheels cars.
Jamie. I drove cars without swaybars and the steering doesn’t return as quick. and the car doesn’t respond as good. That’s because the extra traction between the knuckles and the other steering parts.
Yeah. It does make a difference. But the stock bar is good for a internal dual cell car or other heavier cars because it’s lower but it’s too hard. the suspension set u can buy come with 3 strength: hard-i find it good for driving outdoors(concrete); medium:softer than hard and it’s really good for lowerd cars. Soft- good for indoor and smooth surface.(less spin outs)
it seems the pics didn’t cam out well.
but u still can see the stablizing bar from outside on the pic.North Eastern Melbourne
Suburbs: Heidelberg, Viewbank, Rosanna
I’ll try to ask schools around my area for gyms.
