I’m still confused on how to get the actuator thing to work… I know how to make one, just not how to attach it and stuff… Would a 3.8 have enough torque to fly the plane? For a plane, is torque more important than RPM, or vise versa? I have a MicroSizer, not a Bit, and I read that the boards are different on the car and in the Tx. Where would the cripple cap be located? I could also just get a clone and use one… That would be more logical because they are cheaper than MS’s. I really want to make a MSPlane!
One last question. (At least I think it’s the last one…) Can I extend the rear axle on a ZZMT, ZZSE, or MicroSizer/Bit Char-G?
Can I fit ZipZap SE bodies on a MT, too? Also, regarding Bits/MicroSizers, I’ve heard that the ExtremeMotors Vanquish 3.8 is good. Are these still available?

It appears to be a broken link, though it may just be my comp (it usually is :shy:
I did a Google search for something about motors… I can’t remember exactly lol… but umm this was one of the results. It says that Perfection motors are pretty good! He was using the 3.8 though… A common misconception though is that people think lower RPMs mean higher torque, higher torque means lower RPM. That’s not so with electric motors. It’s true with internal combustion motors, but I bet my bottom dollar we won’t be seeing one of those for Bits any time soon (that’s not saying much though since I am currently broke…). Here’s the link that says Perfection 3.8’s are good.

So umm, if they are good story tellers, does that mean they don’t have 42,000 RPMs? 🙁 I was looking forward to the 4.2 high torque motors 🙁 those freaking liars! 👿
I would like to stay more Bit-related. Plus 42,000 RPMs is higher than any SuperSlick motor.
What exactly do those numbers mean? You are the first person to say that 39 newtons per meter is bs. I think I’m still going with the 4.2 because only 2 people said that the 3.8 is better than a 4.2. I still don’t even know what torque means… btw I’ve always wondered what does cc mean?
Umm, I don’t know if this information is accurate, but I was browsing RCMiniRacer, and they have two Perfection 4.2 motors. One of them (the one that betty.k just posted) supposedly has lower torque, 35 newtons per meter (same torque as a 3.8). But the other one has higher torque at the same price, 39 newtons per meter.
The 4.2 I’m talking about is this one: http://www.rcminiracer.com/main/DetailsList.cfm/item_id/1813/401-1030048-7136153
Compared to this 3.8: http://www.rcminiracer.com/main/DetailsList.cfm/item_id/1453/401-1030048-7136153Quote:running two 3.8 is much better than 4.2s they dont have enought torque. Thanks for all the help. But that’s not true. A 3.8 motor has 35 newton per meter, while a 4.2 has 39 newton per meter. The 4.2 has 4 newtons per meter more than the 3.8, which means it has higher torque.
Quote:ive had some great wired motor bcg’s, the hummer h-1 stands to mind! Are you trying to say those Hummer clones are good? Cuz they have a couple at the local TRU and I might pick them up just for the body…
Something weird is that two local stores (err well one of them isn’t that local… it’s on the way to the airport which is across town but… whatever!) have sold at one point in time non-FCC approved BCG clones, like ones with 27 MHz and no sticker saying it complies with the FCC, and I got a Panther at Fry’s Electronics (the thing way across town) for 3 bucks and it turned out to be running 35 MHz… isn’t that illegal? 😯
When I click the videos it just takes me to a page with a bunch of code on it…
Ummm about the dual motors and dual li-po… MicroAmps says with his MOSFET upgrade, the car can take over 12 volts. Dual Li-Po for 1/64th scale size will give out 3.6 volts… There is a thread on BitRacer.de where an administrator (Microsash) upgraded his Bit Char-G so much, it broke 51 km/h on the speed checker. Keep in mind though, it was a Tamiya Speed Checker, and let’s just say those aren’t the most accurate. It’s in German so you’ll have to translate it using Babelfish (or something else if you know of something better)

trash, VERY nice hovercraft! The thing from Toyeast looks big… how about a nice Bit sized one? The hyperlink button (actually every button except smiley button…) is broken so just copy and paste this link into your browser… Atomic Z-craft!

^ you can also get Atomic Z-Planes and Desktop Rovers from the second link… as well as a Duracell lithium battery (for Desktop Rovers).
