Barrell, sorry about not getting back to you but I’ve been fairly busy (Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, LOL). I got the shell from a remote controlled car called “Little Zoomer”. You can buy them from Coles in Newtown and they cost $2.58 and there is 4 varieties. I’m going to buy the others today.

I’ll be there on Wednesday night. Should we buy another couple of track or spend the money on doing up the ones that we have?

I have absolutly no idea. I got the shell from a cheap remote controlled car then modified it to fit on a Bit. Then gave it a quick paint job as the old one sucked. I’m going to buy the other ones in the series (four of them) since it was easy to modify.

I like Corner Molding coz it’s cheap ($3), comes in three colours (black, white and brown) and it’s easy to bend and cut. Plus it’s really easy to add decals to it. You can get different heights too. Great stuff!!!

I just got a mate to take some picts of my train track before it goes. They are only 1.0 mega pixel as it’s taken from an old Icam. I dropped my 2.0 when I was dirtboarding and it’s being fixed.

is Portugal nice? I was going to go there but I stayed in Brazil for four months instead.

I’ve lived in Brazil, London, Gosford NSW, Melbourne, Frankston VIC, Rosebud VIC, Tootgarook VIC, Launceston and Hobart.

    I don’t think that I’ll move for a while, too much stuff:D

    found it.

did you know there iz a $10,000 fine in oz for using the 49mhz freq. some body told me that it jamms the signal used by ambulances for different equipment

35, 45 ,57 and any other non standard freq. can effect communications and heart monetering gear. not to shure on how much it affects them though im sure a little bcg is isnt going to have the same effect as a stadium blitzer or some other large scale r/c.

the way i found out about the fine was in a shop in melbourne, the owners had bought a 100mhz microphone transmitter that could cut in over the com net of any sporting event or concert. they took it to a cricket match and within 15 minutes of turning it on they were arrested and fined!!!

cheers Shypo. That’s what keeps the money flowing. The added bonus is that it’s all cash in hand.

Dave, I bought the track for $35 off this old dude from Glenorchy with two working trains and one dismantled and the wiring on the track was worn out. So I fixed the wiring (easy as, thanks to Jaycar) and I was just going to start to do some patching up of the paint. As u may or may not know, I collect toys and I buy stuff from the owners of the old Tudor Court in Taroona/Lower Sandy Bay. So on Thursday, when they brought up some vintage Star Wars up for me they spotted the track and made me an offer of $280. Obiously I said hell yeah! and when they told me about the track I was amazed. I told them what I was planning to do with it and they freaked out.

So, I don’t know much about train tracks but now when I see one I will definatly think about buying it, for a steal that is:D

I was thinking about getting some sponsorship from K & D or Mitre 10 for the track.

We could have their logos on the track and on a car or two. Then we could get a costing of the materials and make a how-to-build-a-track poster or hand-outs to give/sell to people on the day.

    any thoughts?
