I LIKE that vid and the MUSIC – what is it? Hendrix?
I notice that the car still gets into the occasional spin, though.
Don’t you get a rear axle drift set with the Suspension part set and also the Tune Up car set?
This is basically a solid plastic wheel that you don’t put tyres on, so it slides around more.
Thats my understanding anyway. Anybody tried em?

Thanks for the responses so far. JFI I’m not suggesting NOT using one of these babies – just wondering if changing from the stock bar would make a difference.
Cheers

Thanks for clearing that up Racer9.
So it cause of the extras you get with it that makes em so expensive now?

I can’t wait for the next installment ph2t. Can we have it now? Ah can we, please,, please….
I now have the idea that I may try a body mod myself. Frightening..lol
Whats a drift axel? A rear axle that doesn’t take tyres?
yep, that works too
how about bitheduk
ok, I’ve got a Tomy tool.
Here’s the scene this morning. Brand new GTR Pennzoil Special Ed. Use the tool to remove the lip…..and……….snap!!!
When I look at the other machine that this happened on recently it is, another GTR Special Ed.
I guess that Tomy produced a bad batch or production standards have dropped or I’m just damn unlucky and its all a coindidence.

I find tyres and gearing make a difference.
Depends on what surface you run on, I guess. My track is MDF, so quite grippy as its not shinny.
Personally, I favour soft tyres all round, cause I like a bit of back end drift.
Gearing – I generally prefer the higher gearing (slower off the mark, but faster once it gets going). The advantage of this to me is that when I need to go slow, around chicanes and technical bit, I can do it, but once on the straights it goes like a rocket. Then the soft tyres kick in on the sweeping bends and it gets a bit sideways :D. I run 3.8 motors and this works for me.
Suspension I haven’t experimented with, so can’t comment.

How were they sold then, Shypo? Or were they a promo
Cheers – thats right, only the A works.
I don’t fancy my chances at modding it, so I’ll just stick to the original controllers – just means I have to carry all four.

Thanks Impreza, I see em now. These things really work do they? You’ve never split the clip using em?

Thanks, but am I missing something? Following the link, these just look like double ended bubble blowers –
O–O
How does one of these help you get anything off a car?

Thanks for the reply, but I haven’t a clue what your talking about lol. Whats a pot? I guess crip cap is the cripple capacitor?
Is it normal for the crip cap to be present in the 4-bands?

I’ve never heard of a Tomy tool. What is it, how does it work and where can I get one?

I tried superglue yesterday – yet to try it out.
When I say it snapped, it would be more accurate to say it split. If you hold the front of the chassis in finger and thumb the clip looks like a letter “n”. It split down the middle, making it look like a letter “m”. It hasn’t snapped off or anything. It makes the motor not sit too well.
Is this the same problem as yourselves?
