so the smell came from the TX? you certain of that? when you dropped it something probably shorted out. then when you turned it on, whammo!
take the TX apart and look for a blown part, or where the smell is strongest….

I’ll get in on the action, my madforce will rip any chassis you have! :approve::p

everyone seems to break that part. It happened when I kept running into a wall or coming off a high jump and the front end would take a dive..
when looking closer at the design this part just looks like a fundamental weak spot. The rods come from the front and take ALL the force from the front end onto the two little nubs at the end, sense does it make? no…..

I gotta stop making faster motors, lol…

in the Madforce? a 4 stack will fit, anything higher will prolly need mods….
well, finally something broke! The damper mount thingy….
thankfully one’s on order but I’m now thinking that I should get the alloy version……

How much do they need to “vent” before they’re buggered? I’ve heard very faint noises once or twice but that’s it. I haven’t noticed a decrease in performance either….

I got those GP 750mah nimh’s and I’m happy with them as well… I dunno about the batt’s you mention here but the GP’s have air holes at the +VE end that seem to let “gas” escape if the batts overheat or are pumpe too hard with current…..

lol, yeah I’m now known as the “fet filler” haha!
looking good mr admin 🙂
sorry man, that’s copyleft…..

for all you uneducated people out there, this is what we call taking the piss outta someone…..

goohead, you have no idea…….:dead:
Quote:My 9×2 Stack is just not good enough, my 19t motor (0.5mm) overheats the FETs, infact, the FET stack seems to only pass about 10A!!You should put a heatsink on the fets. If you look at the graphs in the datasheets for any fet you will find that the resistance of the fets increase as temperature increases. If you keep your fets cool you will ensure a low Rds(on) value for your fets…
Quote:In theory, my 19t, Neo magnet, 10 degree armature, with ball bearings *should* produce the power of a Johnson 540.and how do you figure that?

that’s a bit much though isn’t it?
that’s makes sense, given that is where the main power links are to +VE and -VE.
cheers
well done dude, keep it up!

:approve:Quad stack is now done:
hopefully it will fit…..
time for bead.

thicker wire reduces resistance? therefore increases current? and increases torque yeah?
