very nice job, but i have taken a look, both inside the controllers and the cars and i’m not prepared to damage my bit whilst incresing the range, it should be done by the professionals, not any novices, take mod chips for example, they are so cheap to buy, but so expensive to install.

    Hi,

My bit char-g’s cripple cap was on the car instead of the transmitter as well.

I’ve added a page to my site with fairly complete info about cripple capacitors, with lots of photos and links – including ones where I successfully removed the SMT cap from the car PCB:

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Having just bought a bit-char G recently that had poor range, I opened up the transmitter – and the crippled capacitor was not there (just like some of the others).

However, after some poking around the web, I learnt that the cap was on the car instead!

I’ve added a page to my site with fairly complete info about cripple capacitors, with lots of photos and links. It has details on how to deal with new batches of cars where the cripple cap is found on the *car* instead of the transmitter:

    Thanks,
    Chee Keat

You have to adjust the lever slightly each time until you get it right, but I know what you mean. One of my Compacts constantly inclines to the right and I can’t get it to center too well. The wheels seem to have a bit too much freeplay too.

    Shouldn’t be a torque issue with the Z – mine’s fine, they only run a 2.2

ok, finally got around to doing this. went well.

I actually find the buttons more responsive now as less pressure is required to activate the switch.

I replaced the left and right switches (left one was semi broken). I had to thin the top of the controller cover down near the right switch to stop it from being constantly on.

replacing the switches like this without actually needing to could be some kind of extra responsiveness mod I guess…

Oh – I know it’s a big ask, but could we please have 100×100 avatars on the forum upgrade, as long as we host them ourselves? I kind of miss my usual ones 🙂

Hmmm… against the blue, stitch and the SiR Civic don’t look so crash hot 😀

    Size isn’t too big 😉

The box has two hinged sides, flip it over and you can see the rest – well, if the cars wern’t on top that is 😉

The nice thing is that it has removable partitions in some slots, and a carrying handle at one end. Ten bucks from Howard’s storage

Aaron do you want to give me a hint also about whether it would be cheaper for me 2 buy a speed racer and Fairlday Z set off of another company overseas or you, i much prefer dealing with an australian group.

    thanks

well if you want light mods then i think the bestcar to go with is the Bb open deck but apart from that it pretty much up to your imagination and skills to how much you can modify it

i use zip zap wings on my cars arabicyda i know they fit with out mod on the rx7 and there like the wings made my apc as for fitting them on a skyline ect. you neet ta make new mounting holes i just usea small drill bit and remed it out ta fit then i used putty to fill the old holes and painted it. and if you like you can change the front cover to a clear zip zaps and the rims to zip zaps so you can change the hubcaps for diff. cars. if you want i got pics of um. as for my car i use a zip zap front end and eng. i found out in these cars they have a lil more power and i use 3 nimh bats 2 are inside the car with 1 on the outside only down side to it is you gotta flip your pc bord upside down and cut away the middle of the cover for the pc bord. as for the the screw i said screw it and just put lil dabs of epoxy ta hold my front end down. ghetto kinda fast yes from a dead stop if i hit the gas it pops a wheelie with out needing ta go backwords then smaing it forword. if you want pics i’ll take some for you and for people with the microsizers look for my post ta find the criple cap. its not in the remote its on the pc bord on the car
