Yay!
No more rebuilding the front end every week!
I think you will find they are due to release a new 02 and 04 later this year
Apart from what you have mentioned the front end of the 04 is totally re-designed. They are moving to seperate servos also.
I have some pics of both at home.
that dyno looks good. How do you mount up the motor to it?
OK, some progress. If I sawp the battery connections around you get the car to run. It only runs at about half speed and only when the batteries are relatively fresh (NiMH 800’s)
It is of my opinion that the turbo wants more voltage. Can I safely add another cell withot harming the stock iwaver electrics?
Good point, the instructions say to attach directly to the battery terminals, this meant that the mosfet would heat up (not good). I was too scared to leave it like that for more that a few seconds.
Thanks, i’ll check that link
OK, friend from another forum is having the same problem as me.
We are both following the same instructions so I believe that is the problem and we are hooking it up wrong rather than a dead turbo. Can anyone explain how an external works or point me in the right direction. I think if I have a better understanding of the electronics (i’m relatively new to electric RC) that I might be able to solve the problem myself.
Cheers
AaronPlease read my thread re clearing up a few things.
I am interested to find out about the evidence you have about me ripping the aussie public off.
Yes i am trying to fund my hobby by selling a few cars but I am not dishonest about it.
I have made a mistake by breaking this site’s forum rules but I have admitted it, apologised, and feel that this situation is a little out of control.
thanks for the VV, much appreciated.
ahhh, found the thread.
Was only searching for posts in last 30 days:clown:
search is not my friend
I did few searches and didn’t find anything.
Charge you batteries all the way.
Also, do you have the batteries in the right way?
Listen to the guys about adjusting your diff. I had exactly the same problem and it was my ball diff being too tight.
Loosen it up until the spur gear ‘just’ moves by itself while holding the rear tyres and giving it full throttle.Worked for me
OK, thanks
I thought so but same a bit worried by the way the gearbox is enclosed unlike the racers
OK dgs73, I didn’t realise.
That sucks then . I’m really happy with my mount (stock shock though). I’m not afaid to treat it bad anymore :angry:
I got one of the GPM damper stays and the screws are fine. The are on ebay here is australia for about $20.
Are the stock screw are for plastic? that might be why they have a different thread.
Can I just use the pinions from a 01?
Just using NIMH 800’s
Just the 6 wires, and they are labelled so I dont know what is wrong.
so it is a separate part? just glued in!
Ok, i’ll have a go at it tonight
Thanks for the help guys
The part is made to fit exactly for the Kyosho but there are two separate rails that join on to it to form the rail for the shell to attach to.
On the iWaver the rails are stuck to the damper mount and aren’t separate parts like the Kyosho
OK, so are most of these parts just a straight swap/install? (besides the FET upgrades)
Is RCMart the place to go? Or is there somewhere in Aus which might be cheaper for a smaller order?
the AusMicro shop doesn’t have everything I want.kyosho or iWaver? Try Ebay
Cheers mate. Any other parts?
