if you want to meet at onother place, me and my mates are all up for a run, but as usual we’ll be down ay Meadowbank. (lets face it; it’s the only place I can get my Z’s up to speed.) PM me if you want to meet another place, as long as there’s room we’re in. To answer your three points quick; 1. me and my flatmate (+ anyone else!), 2. usual place, about midday; 3. outdoor.

there’s also the aluminium COLOURED ones, these are still plastic, but look at a glance like, well… those 5 spoke alloys look cool though, but i’d like to know what they weigh compared to the stockers…

the only 1/10 scale track that I know of is in North Ryde, and not the best suited surface for mini z racing (ie. its dirt…) so that’s no use to us at all. I believe there’s a track around the Balmain/Glebe area (or so I am led to believe), will look into that further this weekend… will again be down Meaowbank this weekend (both days now… just chucked a plasma dash in my older racer!), anybody’s about, drop by, we’ll get this off the ground!

frequencies; I now have three different, and a fourth set in da post (in yet another MR-01), changing frequencies is as easy as replacing batteries. Easier, actually, as batteries take longer to change! Another thing to consider; MR-01 parts are MUCH easier to get hold of, and tend to have a greater range of parts than the MR-02. Only because its still fairly new… give it time

Ithink that’s more of an explosion than skinning and dicing Jamie… stiill pretty amusing, even if for the wrong reasons. We have a similar one here at work in which a pigeon gets k.o.ed by a pitcher at a US baseball game… thing disappears in a cloud of feathers…

Jamie, i’ll swing past & pick you up in my spare Lear jet… lol
Tim; Parramatta?? Your not as far away as you think… three suburbs actually. 10 mins. along Victoria Rd. I agree, weather has been a major issue these last few weeks, i’m hoping that this weekend might actually be dry.
We’ve gotta generate interest through the local hobby shops, me thinks. if we could get a decent number of racers that would be regular (Justin, pcd – i’m looking in your direction!),then I dont see any reason this could’nt work. At the very least I think those of us with the interest and funds should get together and work something out. We gotta show those guys in Melbourne we know what we’e doing?
Talldude; coming along slowly, having fun (NOT) finding the material that suites the purpose best ie. wont crack/break from an impact, but will stand up to the punishment they’ll recieve, and has plenty of flex too. I’d say we all have the motovation, but time is the big thing really. Oh, and on the MR-01 vs MR-02 dilemma; get both!! :smiley2:
