Unfortunately, I was using webshots originally. That’s the one that says “forbidden”. I reloaded the software to my computer but it still doesn’t work. Also, my photo gallery wont take my pics either. Hey, if I subscribe, will this problem go away? I read about being able to upload pictures directly from my computer. Is that in place yet? I’m kinda clueless about the whole thing though. I’ve been away for so long.
OK, I updated those pictures with yahoo photo album. Let me know if it’s not working.

Well, it goes mostly straight on smooth surfaces. If there is a pot hole or something it gets a little messed up. For the most part it drives really well. I’m kinda nervous about that though. With all the power and stuff I keep thinking it’s going to explode or something. It’s driving much better than I anticipated.
Matic. I’ll post some pics tonight. I’m gonna sit down in a while when I have more time and put them in my gallery. I’ll put some extra to show how I dual cell. I haven’t found a body I couldn’t fit on an internal dual celled chassis. I do them differently then most though.

Well, I’m getting the same forbidden thing. Tried to edit the post, but that didn’t work. It’s open to the community for viewing, so that’s probably not the problem. I just deleted all the webshots software from my home computer. Maybe that did something. Oh-well, I try to fix it tonight. It’s the same pictures from before, so it’s nothing you haven’t already seen. I was just posting them to refresh people’s memory or let other people see it.

I was looking through your pics. I’ve only been gone for a few months, but I can tell you’ve been busy. The BB is really good, but there’s a lot of other good looking cars in the bunch too. Did you paint that Skyline 2000? It’s a good red/orange.
What if it’s rough, but pink, like a pink Pantera.:p
Howdy. I just got my Piranha charger. I use it to charge my 1/4aaa quad cell. I charge at about 100ma~200ma. The Piranha automatically regulates the voltage, but I noticed it stays between 6.5~7.5 volts. It charges for about 10 minutes. It runs my double stacked fet board and perfection 3.8 for 2~4 minutes.
Radio shack has a wall adaptor that you can change the voltage in increments of 1.5 (1.5~12volts I think) and the current is a constant. They come in a few different models at different currents. If you can find one at about 300ma, then that would probably be good.
I tried charging at 500ma with the Piranha, but the batts got really hot. I used a small digital thermometer to monitor the temp. when it started to go above 110 degrees F, I stopped it. They may have been damaged already though. The more I run the car, the longer the run times get. But at first the run times were about 1 minute before loosing tons of speed. I have a feeling the batts got damaged at 500ma and the runtimes should be longer. When the Piranha gets done charging them it tells me it only put about 25~30mah in them. After the 500ma torcher, it only charged to 10~15mah. It’s starting to come back a little.
I like the fact that it’s somewhat portable. That compensates the cost a little. I don’t have enough time to build my own track. I am still looking for good track ideas. I will most likely keep looking for something cheaper, but I don’t think I’ll find something up to the specs I need, so I’ll probably pick up 2 in about six months, after I’m sick of looking around.
Overall, outstanding. Would like to see a street racing track someday. Would be cool to race around a small city.I like the fact that it’s somewhat portable. That compensates the cost a little. Best from TDT I’ve seen. A real thrilla!
I’ll also say this. He could have (and has in the past) just used a different name and been extra annoying. The fact that he didn’t gives me optimism. I give props to any one who can beat a bad rep.
This guy has annoyed the piss out of me too. But I’m willin to let it be cause I’m sure I’ve probably annoyed him as well.
Nice car chuck.
Be yourself and we’ll accept you. Be annoying and we’ll be annoyed by you.
Mental note for everyone. If this is your first time doing this kind of mod, then I would get about 20 extra in case you mess it up. Especially if you’re clumsy and drop them like me. One of the hardest things you will ever do in your life is try to find one of these little bastards on a multi-colored carpet floor. OK, maybe it’s not that hard, but half the time I give up and grab another.
Hey ADS, I got some questions. I’ve been reading about these a little. I was steering clear of them because I was finding info about it being bad to discharge the batts all the way. They come at 3.7volts, but some literature says not too discharge them below 2.5~3volts.
Do you ever run into problems with yours? Do you have a cut off system? If I got some of these, would I need any special equipment to protect the batts?
Also, here are some other sites that sell these little buggers;
Bob Selman Designs “users.joplin.com/nbselman”
FMA Direct
Skyborn Electronics “bktsi.com”I’ve only checked the first 2. The last one I couldn’t access for some reason.
I think it is. I’m going on a trip soon. When I get back, if anybody is interested, I’ll consider sending some. If you’re into body modding and painting, then it’s well worth it.
That is the way I distribute the weight, except, the batts are pushed back a little. I believe this is better because I have several different types of internal dual-celling, and the ones with the batts pushed back a little farther run better than the ones just conveniently put in the center. Here’s a couple pics of what I mean. Notice that the batts are very low. As low as I could get them.

Look towards the bottum of the pics. There is a couple of good pics with a clear chassis so you can see it a little better.
http://community.webshots.com/album/104512105MRuimCWith the batts in the middle, there is more weight on the front wheels, witch without the aid of proportional steering, makes the car jerk a little too much at high speeds when trying to steer (as well as you might run into problems with the magnetic interference).
My style of dual celling is definately more work, but it’s well worth it. Trust me, I wouldn’t go through all that trouble to produce an inferior car.Edited by – HACHI-RYOKU on 05 February 2004 16:38:59
Wow! That’s freakin good stuff! Nice work. Love the bumper. Thanx.
Hey leoli17, I would love to see it but the pics not coming throuh. Could I ask a huge favor? Could you put the pic in your gallery or your webshots?
The pantera is a classic. You can’t really knock it because it leaves a lamborgini in it’s exaust. That’s not lie. They really are one of the best cars ever. Do a search on the net. You might find some interesting info. They were made from, I think, 1971~76. De Tomaso was the dudes name that designed it. The look is a little out dated, but the prestige is irreplaceable. This is one of those cars that the general public doesn’t know a whole lot about, but any car collector would likely sell his nuts off to own.
I agree that they should come out with more cars. I would like to see some more of everything. From vipers to full-size vans.
Perfection does makes a 360 though. In many colors I might add. I’ve got one. It’s not all that impressive, though other people might like it. The quality of it is better than the other perfection shells I own.
