the springs from a pen are no good because they are attracted to the steering magnet. i still forget the term, it will come back to me.

the bent steering spring will only cause a slight turning problem which should be easily fixable by changing the tuner on the bottom of the car to left or right to counter steer the car.

i used 3 shen bodies and yes you can see the body off Dave. i’m doing a mod right now for RCmod and it will show you how i did the chassis extension and the body stretch. the car isn’t running right now because i haven’t reconnected the steering wires yet. probably will do that tonight since i’m bored now.

ty every one! i worked real hard on it. i got to a point where i was so sick of outty, sanding, more putty, more sanding that i almost dropped the whole project. it was more of a personal goal at that point. it looks nicer in person than in the pics.

if you ordered the springs from RCmod.com they are not magnetic to the magnet. the magnet won’t stick to them because of the type of metal. i forget what it’s called. you need the steering spring to turn. the spring should go on and not cross itself. it should look like a letter “U” with a circle at the end if you installed it correctly.
