The stickers…

a sheet will be available for download, but we want to be able to give every single subscriber a decent sticker as part of the package. Several reasons;
1. Something special, something in your hands to say you are part of the reason we are here, you support us and we support you!
2. It is also part of showing we aren’t out to just rip anyone off too!
It is something that Aaron has stressed over and over again, and I totally agree. We want everyone comfortable with the fact we are only asking for Donations/Subscriptions/Support because we want to provide you, the members, with a better overall experience. At the same time we need to show our appreciation for your faith in us, and that is why we will have the different levels and different packages for everyone. It means you can decide where you want to be, and there will be no sales pressure!

The latest exciting news I can share with you is that Subscribers and Donors will have their very own forums!!! No, we aren’t telling you what’s in it :smiley2:

This is in addition to the increased Gallery sizes.

Pretty exciting stuff. It’s all possible with the latest code updates that we are working with….

And just be sure to take note of the pointer/cursor… that’s mine *grins*

C’mon all you regulars and lurkers, now is the time to pitch in with ideas, just like betty.k has done. It will either be possible or not, and you just never never know if you don’t give it a go…. (now where does that sound familiar? LOL)

Stickers: What a dilemma! It’s a case of the more you order, the cheaper you get them.

$5 each at COST is if we order about 200 stickers…. now that is $1000!!!
Yes, that’s right, ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!!

So I ask the question, how do we get the stickers? Personally I don’t have $1000 to spend on stickers, no matter how much I would like to see them made up.

If we charge subscriptions of $24 per year, and not spend the money on servers or hardware or upgrades at all, but take the first 42 subscriptions and put that towards the stickers…

ok, it could be done.. SWEET we all say….

Hands up the first 42 people that will be subscribers? If I have firm numbers, I will move ahead with the planning a bit more confidently.

Basically, you the members need to know that the stickers WILL get here eventually…..
It might take a bit of time though 🙁

Naruto was great too, try Shaman King, a really long series though! Very funny, the subtitles call people Bastards and everything!! *cracks up remembering*

I have been trying to get into Gundam Wing lately, very disjointed!

WitchHunter Robin isn’t bad for something completely different.

Oh! My Goddess is pretty funny too, lots of anime girls, LOL.

There is a two part movie of the Fantastic Four, the old cartoon series which was a blast!

There is also a anime series about a pair of female assasins called Noir, most excellent animation, and attention to detail with weaponry etc. I think it goes to 26 episodes.

Another classic you must watch is Cowboy Bebop! Is like a Detective series in space, really funny, and some serious sword fighting too! I was so impressed I got the series and the soundtrack!

Then go onto BubbleGum Crisis and BubbleGum Crisis2040.

The Diary and Events Calender is sorta like a freebie in that it is part of the package. We don’t have to do anything extra to get it, but we have to work to remove it? does that make sense?

As for merchandise, I will be working on that mid year. The priority for the moment is the site, and I think you will agree that for the moment, this is the best way.

I would like to redo the T Shirts again too, with a different design. This is getting way ahead of myself, but I was thinking of running a competition for the design this time, or something like that, where everyone votes on the winner. Early days for these ideas. But the stickers have been quoted and a good vinyl sticker to go on a real car will be $25. I can get them anytime you want really. The little ones…. well they are the difficult ones….

ok, time for a response….

I have been driving my car on gravel, grass, road… pretty much everywhere I have space to give it the throttle!

The only changes I did were bearings, ESC instead of mechanical that came with the kit, and some good lovin’ when putting it together!

Flatline speed isn’t necessarily the be all and end all when it comes to 1:10th anyway. I find the best fun I am having is coursework, and of course the donuts!

Future? Hmmm…. maybe a variety of rubber and some oil filled shocks.

That’s about it really.

Now if any of you come back with the “girl” comments, I will take you on!!

Sorry, but I don’t see a great deal of fun in flat line speed when the result is a spec in the distance that gets there too quickly to do decent turns anyway…..

Now, if we want to talk about hop up’s on the MiniZ, we can pop over to that thread a bit later on and I shall put up my looooooong list… maybe….. if I feel like it….. :smiley2:

More than happy to talk about the car though, coz I admit I am loving it, and wish I could be out playing with it more often than I do. It is my first 1:10th r/c and I couldn’t be happier! I can highly recommend it for novices like myself that want a bit of fun. The baja doesn’t mind the rough stuff and isn’t as restricted to road surface like the road cars are. I have flipped it, rolled it, crashed it, ditched it, you name it, especially while learning the limitations and cornering etc. Not having had a road car, I cant tell you how well they would have stood up to my usage, but the baja has done very well.

So far, zero cost for repairs or replacements. That is a big plus to me. Only one minor setback has stopped me enjoying the car, which was fixed as soon as I got home. And I didn’t need to pull the whole car down to fix it (thank goodness for that!)

Putting it together myself was a terrific learning experience too. I don’t think I would have been as happy or as proud if I had bought a preassembled. Certainly wouldn’t love the car as much.

It’s a crazy car, for a crazy Kat!
Can’t wait to take it on the beach for some beach shots like Aaron got. What do you say Aaron? Race ya!!!

The new code is going to allow some great things, and I think everyone is going to be pleasantly surprised with what is being put together.
