Keen to meet up with some people in Sydney who have this same boat… Who’s done what to it, do they race, etc. If you’re reading this and you dont own one; no excuse. Go to a hobby shop and get one. Zero disappointment. OMG in a box… Dave
Hi Dave
While I don’t race one of these they are a very good boat and a few guys in the club have them, very competive.
Heres a link to the club website http://www.modelboatclubofnsw.com it’s also worth checking out http://www.intlwaters.com for more information on tuning these things.
Cheers
Just got one of these a heap of fun….
Yep I’m in just let me know how…..
Pete
I have one of these brought it when I was in Japan a few years ago.. seems to work ok but I don’t have anything to compareit to….
Quote:wow nice shots murph.. and Aaron!what kind of cameras yous got?
Thanks
My camera is Olympus C-770 most of the shots are taken in manual mode, or night shot.
Yes Happy New Year to all at Ausmicro, hope it’s a good one for all…..
Here are some pics from Sydney http://www.pbase.com/gtmurph/sydney_nye_2004
Seriously though I’m here for one more day if anybody really wants a X-Mod body let me know which one and I’ll see if I can get it.
There are a few Radio Shacks near where I’m staying.
Bang…
Quote:the h2 hummer is the ugliest girly car there is! it looks like the kinda ride barbie would take up bush! i love the h1 humvee, but i think even the “queer eye” team could’ve done a better makeover than the h2.at least you got the black one!:smiley2::8ball:
While I would normally agree with you, after seeing a number of real ones in the flesh I’ve kind of changed my tune a little bit. There was a trick black one while I was up in Utah which really changed my mind…
I’m in the US at the moment…..:D:smiley16:

Johnny
Was at Radio Shack today what body are you after they have a few. The 2003 Mustang in red is pretty sweet as is the 350Z.
Quote:and a Nelly, and a better motor…Now I’m concerned…..:dead: wanted to keep it simple.
What’s a Nelly ???
Damn forgot about Meadowbank…..
This being my first plane I have nothing to compare it with, yesterday was also the first time I’d flown it.:D
It does seam to fly ok but stalls a bit in turns (more the pilot i’d say), but it gains altitude quite quickly and does fly straight after a bit of adjustment. Looks like it will take off from the ground although all my flights were hand launched. Will try to get it out during the week for some more test flights.
I basically brought it to learn as I have been considering getting into R/C Aircraft for sometime. I went to Wings N’Things and made the purchase based on their advice with the knowledge that I was looking at getting into bigger RC planes in the future and needed something cheap to get started on.

I’ve posted some pic’s in my gallery
I’ll take a photo of it today, can’t find any info on it from the net. It’s made by Venom http://www.venom-racing.com but they have no infomation on their website. Spares supply looks good as Wings N”Thing have a good range of parts for it.
It’s only a basic plane, looks like a Cessna Skyhawk. 3 CH on/off engine power, plastic covered foam wings.
It’s my first plane, I’ve wanted one since I was a kid, figured a park flyer was good place to start.
Wish i had read this yesterday before I took my new Sky Yiper out could have saved me one prop.
Great info Trash…

Tough choice, I own a HPI RS4 SS and have found the car to be very reliable an a lot of fun. It handles well for what it is, a car park racer.
I will say from personal experience be wary of HPI parts supply in OZ (If you live here that is) it’s not good. So I now buy most of my parts overseas which is not a big problem.
The Kyosho is a great car also, but I was concerned about the belt drive thats why I went with the HPI which is shaft drive. There is also new version of the RS4/3 RTR kit called the EVO which brings some of the options from the SS.
The best place locally to buy HPI is http://www.radiomodels.com.au they are Perth based but offer great prices and good service.
Were is the Savage ????
Cool ride Aaron…
Should still be able to it download from here.

If you need a hand to setup let me know…..
Thanks guy’s, I was hoping that someone may of found a source locally to buy them in singles.
Tried a bearing place ages ago when I first got my Z, no luck it appears to be a special built bearing for MiniZ. Typical RC.
No problem I’ll have to fork out the cash for a full set.
