Has anyone played C&C Generals yet? A couple of mates were playing it over the weekend and it’s meant to be pretty mad.

As for gaming, I’m pretty old school (Mainly because my pc ain’t very fast). Descent 2, now there’s a game that rocked!

Damn dude those rims are so sweet. In the pack you get for them do they come with all the bits needed to put them on? ie: tyres, axel, etc… Are the rims thicker than the standard bit rims? They appear to be from looking at the pics. Also, what are they like performance wise for the car’s responsiveness?

The controller can’t natively charge a daul batt. You need 3V and greater to be able to charge OK.

If you’re sending the transmitter as well, Jamie will prolly increase the value of the capacitor in the timing circuit to allow for a greater charge time. That and a mod to the controller to allow it to charge to batts instead of one.

    Quote:
    -Increses speed 2+ times over.

Most probably a daul cell mod.

    Quote:
    -Increases torque 2+ times over.

Again, probably a daul cell mod and/or MOSFET mod.

    Quote:
    -Increases runtime over standard cars.

    Battery capacity upgrade, 150mAh prolly.

    Quote:
    -Brings weigh distribution upto 50/50.

Internal daul bat mod for sure….

    😀

Ya silly bugger :smiley2:, don’t add an extra antenna on top of the other one. Add a new one all together. There will be a lot of signal loss in just combining the two, lol!:approve:

Yes that solder stays there. Are you using the original antenna?

If you mean that the solder is connecting the two pads together, then no, it shouldn’t be there, you are creating a short circuit which would probably kill the car alltogether. I’m sorry surfy I don’t have a car PCB in front of me (I’m at work and I _should_ be working ). I’ll have a closer look tonight.

    Great advice, thanks micro. 😉

I will tune these buggers when I get a chance and report my findings. What’s the best way to remove the wax from the inductor?

It’s hard to say dude. Each car reacts differently. On top of this you can tune the varible inductor on the car to really tweak the reception, giving you a possible few more meters to play with.

EG: my 27Mhz compact char-g was 3 meters out of the box, now it’s 9 meters. My 27Mhz MS RX-7 was 2 meters outof the box and now it’s 10 meters. My 49Mhz MS Skyline was 6 meters out of the box, not it goes 11 meters+ (longest distance I have in my house)

So you can see it varies. I’ve yet to tune the variable inductor on any of these babies yet…

The variable inductor tuning mod is AKA QFM’s “tuning the POT” mod…

yes, but you get an extra 2+ meters with the antenna.
