lmao the monster gt is the most state of the art truck out and has the best suspension ever to grace a rtr. i have a mgt and hit a few things without it brakeing. the terra gets on the list for beaing orignal unlike the savage what is a crappy clone of the tmaxx.

heres what is comes down to. who has the most aftermarket suport tmaxx who has the biggest eng. conversion tmaxx and theres a reason its the best selling 1/10 scare truck every and why just about everyone in 1/10th scale off road 4wd raceing use’s either a tmaxx or emaxx.

oh that is so so incorrect

    lets see now

savage a clone of a tmaxx?? open ur eyes noticed sumthing called twin vertical plates?? i dont see those on a tmaxx

    what else

tmaxx biggest engine conversion my ass

its called truckzilla and its a .46 sized engine in a savage

dude no one is buying the .21 anymore everyone is buying the .25

the tmaxx is just chassis with everything thrown on to it

the savage is a totally new, better design

duh the savage is a little slower its a basher not a racer, but it still owns a t-crap in anything bashing and u can jump it off a house and it doesnt break yet a t-crap breaks if u run it into a pole at full speed a savage just gets scratched

    tmaxx?? just junk

mgt?? junk as well it breaks when u hit a pole at 5mph

what about nitro trucks? (im gettin a savage .21 or .25 for xmas and we r goin down the coast) what do you have to sand/water proof on them to be able to use them on the beach and is there more or less after run maintenence for a nitro on the beach to an electric?

i surpose a nitro truck would be a lot more fun on the beach since it does go faster and is more noisy which is also good to annoy old people with hehe…

have u guys ever gotten ur trucks/buggies and driven it up to sumones face and stopped it on its side and sprayed sand at them??

    hehe so many possibilities

lol how do u successfully seal a gearbox ive never tryed sealing it before and with the radio gear is it sufficient to get a balloon and put the reciever into that?

Would gettin a receiver cover and a piece of plastic and put the reciever onto the plastic and then get the receiver box and place it on top of the plastic and get blue tac and blue tac the cover onto the plastic then get the heavy duty double sided tape and place that underneath the piece of plastic and place it onto the chassis?

Accually that sounds like it might just work….

usually a real basic esc is around 80 bucks or so, a good quality one is around 150 or so and a kickass one will be around 200 – 300 but u dont need one that good only like pros and people who are obsessed with everything that is the best will use them. just go down to ur lhs or mr toys if they have an rc section such as the mr toys near us has and ask them what type of esc would be good for the type of driving you plan on doing such as if you are going to race then you only need a forward only esc, whereas if you plan on running up and down the street an esc with forward and reverse is more for you. When you purchase an esc they should be able to put it into your car and program it for you since u appear to be new to the hobby, not that theres anything wrong with being new i was new only like a few months ago…. *didnt no anythin about the hobby hehe still learning*

The guys at the lhs will always be happy to help you out with your car and will always answer any questions you have about the hobby.

if you need any help or got any questions just pm us or email me my email addy is in my sig somewhere

oh sweet im gonna get me new truck by air then but i might find sumone else to pay the shippin hehe (mum and dad :>) so it’ll all be good

i personally think 6 weeks is a little long to wait for a nice big truck im sure the offroad guys will agree with me that theyd rather get the truck out and runnin straight when they order it rather than waitin for 6 weeks to go bashin.

And star guitar i would go with the savage .25 that is coming out soon its rtr but better quality than the savage .21 kit.

i was thinking of getting the savage .25 but since its like 100 aus $ more i might be restricted to getting the .21 but i want to have my car for the xmas holidays so i have like 8 weeks to save up and then i have to order it and im not sure if the air postage on towerhobbies can go to anywhere outside the u.s but if it can then i will have a lot longer to save up. King rx7 do you know if towerhobbies are able to air freight it to anywhere outside of the usa?

well tamiya are a very reliable brand although i dunno which model u mean since i noticed on the tamiya site in the rc section they have a few different wrc models im presuming of course that you made a typo there with the wrx.

they are a reliable brand and usually have a huge amount of replacement parts in stock at most lhs.

you could always get a nitro car off http://www.towerhobbies.com and maybe get like a team associated or a losi (not sure if they have on road cars) for about 300 – 400 aus $ from the site but it would take around 2 – 6 weeks to get to you.

i agree with peedee on the second hand nitro cars since as peedee said u dont no how they have maintained the car such as the receiver or radio gear could be malfunctioning, the fuel lines or fuel tank could have cracks and tears in it and the motor could possibly be dead. Also there could be stripped gears in the gearbox.

yes towerhobbies is extremely cheap with their cars since it is from america and u could buy a car that is like 1500 aus from an aus hobby shop or u could by that same car for like 700 or so including shipping and u save a lot of money. i am currently in the process of saving for a hpi savage .21 which is 680 aus dollars from towerhobbies including shipping whereas from down the road at mr toys its like 1500.

hope this all helps u and have fun with whatever car u decide to buy.

I surpose a second hand nitro would be alright if it was from someone that u new and u new that they maintained it extremely well.

take a look at http://www.nitroreview.com they have like 300 and sumthin reviews on nitro cars and its got offroad and onroad nitro cars so that might help a little bit.

also http://www.wildhobbies.com and http://www.rccaraction.com have loads of reviews on many onroad cars and they have a good amount of nitro touring car reviews as well.

i dont drive on road cars but i no theres other guys on here that no more about the touring cars but check out those 3 sites that might help u a little bit although the reviews on nitroreview.com arent the best out there because firstly they are just reviews from anyone thats got a car they wanna review and put up onto the site and a lot of people say that one car isnt good yet others say it is so the reviews can be kinda confusing.

    Hope this helps a litte.
