although the voltage is important the milliamperage (mAh) is the factor to be carefull of. some ni-cads at dickies give 1200 mAh and that is a problem if your still powering your bits on single ni-cad (standard) batteries UNLESS you used energiz%r max or ultra d%racells on the first charge. some thing about cell memory and limitations. the % batteries run at 800mAh supposedly.

    what is cycling?

I just fitted NiMH cells into my bits and they work great on a double charge. whats the limit on how many times i can charge it in a row with the standard controller?

too bad. did u have a go fixin it?

nobody fixes these little guys so if it gets sent back to the distributer they’ll just put it in the bin (sob). cheaper to replace than repair. go and check the stores bin if u want a spare shell for your next car!!

got the hard cover. the origin story was the best story in comic form i have ever read. partly due to the fact i got to read it in one go for the first time.it cost 80$aus. i think the individual issues cost 5.45$aus. check out the quest for madness website for pictures of the johnny lightning cars (or their tires at least) in the HOT SWAP TIRE/WHEEL MOD. nuff’ said bub

my white skyline’s got the same prob( hang on thats a 40mhz yellow s2000 chassis). fixed it by making a custiom set of tyres from pacer pencil grips. just makethe tyres differing widths. for instance on tyles my bitslips out to the left because the power distrabution(no way we gonna get diffs to fit these) so to compensate i trimmed thetyre a mm thinner than the other one with a stanley knife. for steering things get a bit complex. because i spent $75 on three of the 4 KIT racers i have a multitude of tyre sets, so iuse a soft tyre on one side and a hardtyre on the other. for a dollar u can buy a set of front tyres for afx racing (slot cars). using one of these on the bung wheel might help as they strech over the rim to create a round surface which then limits the effect the displacement. hope it helps!

ATTENTION: There is a car available in australia that has abuilt in dual NiMH cell in series. lost the box though! if u see them they only (ONLY!) have wrx’s and the lowly pt cruiser bodies. it takes a 2 minute charge from 4 aaa’s. controler has telescopic antenna and works on my 40mhz skyline albeit backwards. the car however “iz a big teaze”because it goes so fast and so faryet it handles like crap. tried changing the hard ridged tyres with all kinds of combos(K.I.T racers ,bits and afxFATS) with no avail. looks like the manufacturer spent all their time and money on quality parts rather than design and research.paid40$aus
