what materials are you useing??
so where exactly do you live then boungah?
thats kewl, you 2 get to race often coz u live close and have built tracks, i just have a few friends with char-g’s, and the other with a fake cyclona 1 but no purpose built track at the moment (in which i have designed one and going to build. topic: custom track building).
plus we only have the 2 official char-g freqs and the ???freq of the cyclona to race with until my friends come back from hk with the stuff i asked them to buy for me.
just keep the get together race meeting in mind and post the date whenever its been confirmed.
oh btw, i used my 2.2 motor in my char-g to measure the turning circle of the char-g, which was… im not too sure anymore but i think it was average 23cmfor the inner circle diameter and + 3.5cm on both sides for the char-g itself makes 30cm diameter for the outside circle.
but i found that instead of trying to crawl through the hairpins, instead going reasonably fast into it and holding the turn until the char-g faces the other way (provided you have a grippy tyre, or not – i dont really know for sure, the car will stick flat all the way round the corner) it will cut the innerng cicle diameter down to about 17-20cm, which will make the hairpin on my track seem kinda huge (estimating).
the indy track by calculation is 611.33cm(2dp) in length (measuring the path which follows the centre of the track) and the f1 track including the indy circuit part is about 896cm (also centre of track line thingy..) making it almost 1.5 time longer than the indy track itself. to my surprise if you didnt include the indy part which the f1 track uses, the lenght would be a mere 1cm shorter than that of the indy track (explains why its 50% longer).
enough of that, the inspiration of this track design corners came from 4 different international f1 tracks:
1. the indy track in the u.s. with the oval circuit.
2. the first few corners in the f1 track are from monaco gp, consisting of the famous loews hairpin and the hotel undercover carpark straight… (not exactly straight but you know what i mean)
3. next section is from suzuka-jap gp with the lead up and execution of the spoon curve just after the hairpin section on the same track.
4. and finally the weirdsection before the track leads back into the indy circuit is the veedol schikane (in deutsch) from the new nurburging-luxembourg gp which is actually in germany. chose this coz its good and it was michael schumacher who designed it!
s’all i can think of typing at the moment…
keep the suggestions, ideas, comments, whatever coming though…
(p.s. please don’t hate me if you dont like schuey yourself ok ;P)
ok, i’ve drawn up my track design and its going to be something like this pic…
the indy track is 20 cm wide and the f1 track is 15 cm wide.
i did this because although some of you say its need to be real wide for the char-g to be able to steer properly around the track.
that i found is indeed true, but considering you shouldn’t need something like a 35-50cm wide track to just go straight in it (lol hard to imagine using up the whole track width), i designed it so that although the f1 track is 15cm wide, the tightest corner is fairly passable, errrm… how to say, so that instead of using a much wider track ive put grass (the green stuff probably gonna make from old carpet) between the 2 parralel tracks making it big enough for most char-g’s to be able to manouver around it, as long as you know what racing lines are all about , u should hav no problems even for the faster engine cars.
so yer that’s about it so far, just ignore the red outlined stuff in the background of the pic, just me insignia put into it for net purposes 🙂

Shypo, id be keen for the 35, but i dont know how to arrange payments!
Okay,
I’ve put back that ceramic capacitor… Like I said, don’t see any visible changes, but that doesn’t mean much…
I still cannot consecutively charge my bit. I still have to wait about 20 seconds before I can charge it again… But let me get this straight… dbl charging is good for the battery right? It won’t kill it right? I’m not talking20+ consecutive charges, just twice. (Then again, if I buy a KIT racer, I get a free spare battery… )
Still trying to find that FAQ or something on the crip cap on the CAR… Anyone got any tips on where to find it?
PS. I didn’t choose the 27Mhz, my gf gave it to me for Christmas.
PPS. My local Kmart still has 10 CCG left… Should I start hoarding? ^_^
I’d say what he meant by sold out was JNH don’t have any, whatever the shops have now is all their gonna get unless JNH order more in.
can you buy separate bus bodies?
my 3.0 used to suck, butsince it hasbroke in its been a gem.
They just dribble S*** so dont bother.
Yeah there dog slow. My tri cell mod with dual motors should do the trick.
i love my bits, i am addicted i have 9 chassis’s and about 20 shells and i still want MORE
$50 nice one jamie LOL< considering Sigma is selling them for $800AU delivered
can i have a NUR for 50 bucks??
we now need soem1 for 27mhz and 35 any takers
OK most people dont know this……the charger on the transmitter only charges the cell to about 1/8 capacity. A simple constant current charger can properly charge the battery and give 25 mins of runtime off the standard battery.
Ah, why did you choose the 27MHz??? it gives soooo much trouble 🙁
ok no probs, lo, Gigantor
i used to love Racer X always wanted to c his face tho
yeah u better put it back on if it duznt charge proerply

yeah we go quarters i want 57mhz most but i will take anything but 27. i will find the link and we can talk
here he comes, herecomes speedracer he’s a demon on wheels.
lovin the nostalgia
im not sure if they are LE but they are damn cool, i want to buy the bus 4 pack i just need some people to go into a group buy with me hint hint
Oh and besides an electric motor is very similar to a rotary, except it’s electric.
Yeah so do I 🙂
On the site listed above there is actually a rotary that would be way too small for a bit….it has a 1mm rotor!!!!Get one
Im getting one in a few days.
u can run bits on carpet, dependant on how thik its is i run mine on carpet all the time, i am still getting toghther my funds for a Z so in the mean time i will keep debating it
