yes the motors are exactly the same. double charging is really very good for the battery tho as the battery can overload and doing this alot can make the car run less and slower

    Thanks Shypo,

If there are no crip caps in a compact char-g, then what did I pull off the transmitter? hrmm… I’m wondering if it was a timing capacitor in the charging side of the circuit… (Since there didn’t seem to be a difference in the transmission.)

Another thing, I can’t seem to double charge my char-g. Once it finished charging, I take it off, and put it back on and the charging led doesn’t go on. If I wait a while, like 20-30secs then I can charge it again… I”m not sure if this is due to me pulling that cap off or not.

So the motors in the KIT racer are exactly the same as the char-g? Great! that means I can get a 2.6 cheap!

Perhaps I should nip down to Kmart and pick up another one? I didn’t think that the supply of these were going to dry up… There are like 12 sets left at my local Kmart…

Heh, plans of hoarding these things are hatching in my mind.

ok first thing, there is no cripple cap on a compact char-g,i cant help with the other q’s about this sorry.

kit-racer+bit racer, hot wheels bought the division i believe.

in the K.I.T racer you can use, the motor, the gearset-sometimes due to the lower ratio the gears do not turn aswell. the tires, the spare battery and the heat sink

Perhaps there’s some play in the steering module. I opened mine up and slipped a piece of thin cardboard in where the servo gears are.

Might not be your problem, but something to check out 🙂

    Aesch 🙂

I’ve had a mini-z for about over a year now and am thinking of going the other way and getting a bit.

In stock form, they are about as good as any other of its kind. To a certain degree, it is nice that there are so many hop ups for it.

I’m running it on in my apartment on the carpet and before I moved even had a nice little jump platform for it. (Don’t think I’ll be able to run any bits on carpet) I’ve also run it outside on a nice big chunk of basketball courts.

The main problem I have with it is the expense (in purchasing 1 and all the hop ups) and the lack of people with it. Most of my friends either went the petrol way or the bit way.

Anyways, I have an original Lancer Evo which I have upgraded with a few hop ups and a white MR-S shell with a carbon hood.

Bit thing about them is depending on the shell, the engine position might not be conducive to a good handling car. (I think the Mini might have an upright engine making the centre of gravity relatively high)

    Aesch 🙂

IC engines that small are awful. My cox teed .010 can take hours to start, has no variable throttle, and is unreliable. A rotary that small would be stupid. That little rotary ( http://www.me.berkeley.edu/mrcl/mini.html) would have way too much power like hundreds times thae power of a bit. Electric ispowerful, no mess, reliable and the only way to go.

I’m not too sure Barrel but I was told that they might have built a BMX track over it. But the guy who told me that is a moron so that might not be true.
