in this pic did it land the flip?

can’t remember, probably not! about a third of the time it lands on the wheels, a third it bombs out but rolls onto the wheels and the remaining times it goes splat!:dead::8ball:

now that i’ve seen how this thing drives and had a close look at this part i reckon it’s a serious weakspot that should have been addressed. before i go on i should say i know crap all about serious rc, (ph2t’s is the first real rc i’ve used more than once) but i know a weak spot when i see one. alloy parts would certainly be stronger, but the design is silly. those little ball mounts should be attached to the pcb cover underneath (or whatever part that is under them) so the impact is shared between the 2. i’m sure this can be done with some small screws and accurate drilling. i know these aren’t designed for the abuse that this one gets, but it just seems like an obvious oversight to me:8ball:

:Dhehehe! ufas! here’s a good un, when the first settlers decided to make the nation’s capitol and call it canberra, sheep farmers said it would be a “waste of a good sheep pasture!” true story, i think the sheep herders was filled with wisdom!:p:8ball:

most people add extra steering springs to help, but it’s a fine line between good straight tracking and good turning.:8ball:

    more piccies!:p
first have a look at what a week of ramp jumping does to the skid pans!

i redesigned the hinge on the enertec monster to allow the rear end to do tha twist so to speak! now it looks and behaves much like the h plate on a mini z. it’s a definate improvement, dunno why i didn’t do it this way to start with, bleedin’ obvious in hindsight! doh!:D anyways you can see the old design resting on the wheel in the first pic. and the added bonus is that i get to do some tttt style shots!:smiley16:

:pwow! lights round off any rc very niceley and make it easier to tell which way the car is pointing in low light situations. tidy work as always man!
i’m curious, is there another channel on miniz’s that allows remote control of the lights?:8ball:
