hey hey, it’s the big a!!

i’m sure i mentioned this in another thread but i just wanna say that when aaron started up the shop he was just interested in sharing some of his contacts with the hardcore ausmicro crew. it was never a “money making scheme”

if you have a genuine claim contact the man and you will recieve satisfaction.

aaron, you know how i feel. whatever decision you choose to make i will support it 100%. and i hope all ausmicro devotees will feel the same.

    “this land is your land,
    this land is my land
    this land was made
    for you and me”

well i suppose it’s no secret that i’m in cahoots with ph2t in this whole caper.

lemme just say, we’re not trying any sort of mutiny here. we both have a great deal of respect for aaron, derek and kittykatsmack for their innovation in the australian micro community. what seemed like a good idea to them turned into a brilliant idea. this was the forum that broke new ground in the worldwide micro scene and both ph2t and myself realise we have big shoes to fill.

but times change, we are just saying that if aaron is tired of the whole thing (and who could blame him) that we as ausmicro devotees are prepared to take the helm including all financial and administrative duties.

i just don’t want anyone to think there is a lack of respect happening here, we’re just willing to take on the responsibility of maintaning australia’s premier micro forum. we believe it is an essential service.

mad props to aaron, derek and kittykatsmack. we promise if you are willing to pass the torch it will be in good hands.

mini z is dead??? wash your mouth out you dirty little boy!!:gatlin:

don’t get any funny ideas, aaron is still the king around here and always will be. it’s just that some of us are thinking about elevating the ausmicro legacy and we rely on member feedback. you are the people that made this site, your input is valuable.

let me reiterate, i’m just asking this question as a matter of curiosity, don’t go thinking there are big changes ahead!

re: the shop. aaron offered this service to people as a courtesy, he had some great contacts in the rc world and wanted to share the booty with some aus people. he never thought of this as a money making venture. as it stands, the shop is currently closed. :8ball:

    too cute!

to solve your glitching probs (maybe), try soldering a capacitor across the motor terminals. i would personally start with one with “103” written on it. but try anything you have at hand first. motor terminals can be found in the attached pic. :8ball:

I was thinking of building a micro t or dt and I would love to bring it down… which do you guys think would be a better choice the micro t or the micro desert truck?

probably the micro t, the shorter wheelbase would suit track conditions better :8ball:

is it possible to drift 2WD rc’s?

yes, but not easily. in fact it’s bloody hard!

Also can you buy petrol powered drift rc’s or is that a bit uncommon?

fairly uncommon for petrol drifters, petrol engines tend to be used on larger scale rc’s like 1:5 scale. but there are a few nitro drifters around. (nitro = nitro methane, 2 stroke engines) :8ball:
