Just use a standard 3cell lipo charger. I did an adaptor for the charging socket but I haven’t needed to use it yet. lol

About 5 times the run time of my 2500mAh NiMh cells with no glitches and perfect running. You can buy a Dell pack new with enough lipos for two conversions for less than $50

    Put me down for one.
Let me know where to send the funds.
I’ll prepay if you can give a delivery date. I know what it’s like to get a new enterprise going so some pre-order funds might help.

Yep I live at Bathurst. I was born and bred in Parramatta but I moved up here about 4yrs ago to look after my 84yo Mum & Dad so I’m pretty stuck unless I get a “sitter” to come over. It’s not bad because I mainly work from home and have heaps of time to play with my toys!! I was big into 1/8 buggies and 1/10 nitro tourers but have gone more electric now. I’ve had an 01 for a while but never used it until saw a wicked Mad Max Ford GT body that I had to have, so I dragged out the mini-z and now I’m an addict!! (maybe a tragic)
I have an F1, 01, 015, 02, 2 firelaps, as well as the most wicked mini-t (almost undriveable 11.1 lipos and 7kv brushless), a brushless RC18, a Nanodragon (stock) and a mini inferno.
Thats just the mini stuff, I’ve probably got 40 larger scale cars. The TGR sinister has got me pumped atm, Maybe Feb-Mar ?
If you can help out with the body thing just let me know your details (bank Acc etc and I’ll drop the funds in. My bro lives at St Mary’s but would probably buy the wrong thing!!
Here are some of the other scale … (No planes or heli’s in the pic) There’s heaps more but were packed away when I took the pic, these are all runners.

Definitely have to have one of them. Especially an Orange Mclaren LM, the ultimate street car.
Why does all this good stuff appear around Xmas when I’m busier than a one legged bloke in an arse kicking competition!! money seems to just seep out of my wallet from Dec to Jan (must be the heat).
They look interesting and I was going to buy an MR02 this month so I suppose my decision has been made for me.
BTW If anyone has a stock MR02 they want to sell, I’d like an older one as well for testing. (no body, radio, wheels.) No mods though.
Of course we have the new LM’s with 2.Ghz radio self seeking etc due out soon I wonder what other marvels will be on the new models.. Looks like the “i” model is a way of testing some of the new technology before the complete new model release.

    Thanks guys,
Ive ordered the first bits from Aaron (as well as just getting a Nanodragon)
I’ve also bought a Nanoracer and I was REALLY impressed. See my LiPo transmitter upgrade post. I’m going the nanoracer path as the value is too good to pass up, given that I’ll be buying 5 or 6 in the next couple of months.
Aaron could you recommend to me what I should purchase as my First sets of rubber. I’ll be modding 2 cars and keeping 1 stock so I can quantify any differences so I’ll need at least two sets to begin with.
The Nanogragon hotup is going to be fun as I think it will be a better car than the 18T, but that’s another project!!

Sorry to drag up an old thread but I have just re-investigated Mini R/C and have dragged out all of the old cars and am purchasing new ones and parts at a great rate. I’m running an F1 with bearings, Speedy05 and a ball diff. The secret to F1’s is obviously the handling so I have polished the king pins (it helped) I intend to go LiPo as nearly all my other R/C is Lipo so, how many of what FET do I need without going insane? The car is very good now but I would feel better if I did the mod before blowing something up and finding out after that I should have put some FETs in. Will the FET’s on their own change the speed characteristics?
The only other thing I intend to do with this car is to put on an Alloy/carbon bumper and do hundreds of practice laps.

All aluminium has an oxidised, layer the colours on the bling bits is achieved by accelerating the oxidisation using chemicals. There is no difference in the electrical properties.

Just got my Firelap Nanoracer 2.0.
I am very impressed. Not quite auto scale body quality but the chassis feels great and the radio is brilliant. I set it up to use with my Mini-Z F1 and have had no problem at all. The fine tuning of the radio makes the F1 more driveable too. The Firelap chassis impresses me but I’ll know more when I get an MR02 to compare to. So far It seems fairly well made and comes with a RM motor pod as well. I’ve ordered another one so I can hot this one up and keep a reference unit to quantify any mods as I do them.
    Value for money is A++
