Talldude; dibs on one or two sets? Meant to call you over the weekend, but time was not on my side… that RX7 shell had something to do with it, was looking to see if that trade was still feasable? If not, no prob… either way your phone will ring in the next 15 minutes. Hopefully we’ll work something out. Geo; missed ya yesterday dude, glad you’ll be there this weekend. I’m not going to borrow your F1 again however… gave myself a heart attack last time when that front wheel and everything came off. I’m sticking to my racers…:smiley2:
Kevsta; all happening eh? Cant wait to see it at this stage of manufacture…:D

…quick. (dont know what happened then; this was the one reply!!) If you did’nt want to spend the $$ on a Z then the other is the way to go, if your soldering skills are in check…

Yesterday; we only had the three of us racing… myself, PeteWah (with Just’s Supra), and Stu, who finally got his Rex (pretty cheap too, for a hobby shop!!). all in all a cool day, although my Monster shell looks very similar to Ph2t’s shell… not much paint left. Only wound up running for 2 hours, due to a small quantity of batteries. This weekend I believe everyone’s available with the exception of Tim, right? Hey Talldude, what’s the word on those crystal sets? And that Iwaver was alright when it ran, but I suppose they’re the operative words. Pretty bloody

the clear Z chassis is brittle as… worse than the other coloured Z chassis’… and the mini-x chassis tends to look cheap, despite being a good(ish) micro 4wd. Does’nt look like it’d handle half the s**t i’ve put my Zs through… nice work however… how’s it stack up against the real deal? Have to annoy people if it left real Zs in a cloud of dust. But that’s the point, is’nt it??

Now a good time to call shotgun, Talldude?!?! hehehe… i’ll speak to Jay-Z and peteWah tonite and see if they’re interested. Or rather, how soon they would want to go. (I’ll bet Jay-Z will be up for going this weekend… keen man…!!) But yes, as Talldude says, a date and cost would be super, plus ensuring people who say they’ll go will actually show; annoying when people pike and dont inform anyone

Tim; turns out they’re just slightly different size, hence the need to do what I mentioned before… sounds like the motor’s going, Talldude… better that then your precious Z’s internal organs getting cooked. I was thinking the stock fets would give up after a while at that ratio, but maybe not. It is taking its toll elsewhere, however. Sounds like the donk was overworked… remember what happened to Focker’s two stock motors at Turramurra? (and how quick they both packed in!!) That was also aided by small quantities of sand finding its way into the motor… nasty

Oh yeah, i’m in!! Train or roadtrippin’ with Petewah, Jay-Z and Talldude would be our choice… dunno ’bout sharing beds with any of em though… Have’nt been to the Art galleries of our capital for waaayyyy too long, i’d probably find myself more interested in sightseeing than Z’ing, and that’s just not right. And the chance to run r/cs places “we’d never think of” is very tempting as well. With a large proportion of Canberra seeming to be paved, this could mean anywhere…

are you talking about the gears themselves Tim, or the whole servo box? The gears cant be swapped out for Kyosho ones due to the size difference, hence the need to transplant the whole box in. There’s a though, Talldude; is the stearing servo box on the Iwaver exactly the same dimentions as the Mini Z one?

i think you might be able to make that D2 shell fit, Kev… was thinking of a heatgun/hair dryer and heavy duty masking tape… give it a try, or I could give it a go for you.

you’re a weird one, Timmy… you can get to Melbourne but not Canberra? I will say in your defence that maybe being so young you’re not allowed to travel interstate alone… but Canberra is this side of Vic. Jay-Z; bout bloody time, mate… Talldude; there’s a thought… how many in this Sunday?

they sound like custom frequencies to me… i’ve been known to be wrong though, every now and then… Upside is (if they work) that everyone will be able to run at once… Can I go halves with you on this Talldude? BTW, won that limited GTR shell, but still want that blue shell off you… maybe we sould work something out with that FD RX7 shell…

hehehe… you’re both wrong… 11.5mm or 10.5mm(not 1cm, most definately NOT 10cm wide… wtf!?!?!) is the rear size of AMG, Supra, NSX,(Tim!!!) etc. The rears have no offset, but the fronts off these models have standard width wheels, with 2.5mm (approx.) offset. Narrow bods use 8.5mm all round, with no offset. Others, like Jay-Z’s WRX or Kevsta’s Ferrari have custom offsets… My XaNaVi has 11.5mm rears, with an additional 1.5mm offset. H e a p s wide!!!

cant watch it dude… 21 meg’s too big for this pc at the mo… damnitt!! So what’d I miss? Oh, and Geo; you bring an interesting point to the chat… I think we all should be dropping back down to stock motor setup, so we’re not speeding through the barrier edges…

TallDude; if you want to get some of those mats too, give me a call ,I might head over with you, if cool, so I could grab some of these mats myself. Tim; everyone’s got a couple of channels, but it seems that 27.045 and 27.095 is a frequency we all have. At this rate we can all have 6 car races, which I think would be better anyway. Oh, and Talldude; if you scrap that iWaver, first dibs on the shell if possible?
