    I am a little confused…

I wonder how long it took that one that flipped and landed upside down to flame out

I would only like it if it had an electric power plant,

Then I look at the Kyosho Site

The latest MP777 evolution of the 6 time consecutive 1/8 Buggy World Championship winning Inferno, is now making tracks with a 1/16 size electric buggy.

    It s an Electric Buggy…

    Well got my parts…

The GPM Alloy Gear Meshes really smoothly, so I have dropped the bottom gear cover off, and hopefully will stop getting crap causght in there.

The Bumber is … Well it is a bumper, I won’t know how good it is till I hit something (Though it looks cool)

The shocks I am still undecided on. The write up I put on one18th reads as follows… (Would have put it here first but the site was being freshend upbig.gif)

    I am prety disapointed.

The spring on them is nice, and the construction is reletivly good.

The front shocks top mount is a nice design.

So why don’t I like em? well the rear shock has a static mount with no ball (Though they have a ball fro the front so can supply one)

The botom mounts use a smaller ball than the stock, which is fiddly and anoying.

The way the shocks are fited causes them to make it harder to fit the shell, and they rub on the shell at the front because of there fit.

And Lastly they came without Oil that is just one of those details that should be there.

Good Manufacture, but just a little missing in the detail… Now I’ll have to see how they perform.

The system we had at home when I was young had an interesting set of criteria for changing font size…
First you would change the line spacing on the software.
Then you would change the Dasey wheel on the printer.
And then you would have to change the dip switches on the damn translator board betwen the PC and the printer so it would recognise the new line spacing.
Needles to say… we didn’t change font size very often.

So that would be an alloy bumper like the
TOPCAD (#15214B) Alum. Front Bumper (BU) For RC-18T/18MT
    http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=144_621_628&products_id=11465

That is on the order as well 😀
I just can’t resist Blue Alloy

Well I sorta Side Stepped teh problem…
I know I didn’t want to alloy this thing up, but I bit the bullet and bought a set of Hot racing Alloy shocks.
Lets see how the Spring retainers on these hold in place… (Can’t be any worse than the stock ones)
Also they look to have a longer spring, because the stock springs I find are just way to short, so you have to screw the adjuster right down just to put some preasure on the spring at all.

Yeah I noticed that stormer was stocked, but again the only things they have that I want are the Retainers (Rebuild kit and Accessories kit both have em)
If you price check between Tower and Stormer, sometimes one is better other times the other, though if you are purchasing enough to fit just inside one of towers discount bands, they usually work out better.

    HAHAH I thought as much…
And bloody RCMart doesn’t stock em
Nahh what I am talking about is the little retainers at the bottom of the shocks.
Popped a front one on trial run number one, but that one turned up. Popped an other one a few days back, but that one has gone bye byes….
Tower stockes the damned things, but there is nothing else I want from tower, so not about to ship an order just for that.

    Woohoo I have a speed controller… 😀
The 18T stil doesn’t run
The servo moves a total of maybe 5 degrees from full lock left to full lock right.
The speed controller wont Program with forward as forward and backward as backward.. so I eithre have to learn to run my controller backwards on have a break in reverse…

Why did I get the kit again?
[EDIT]Woohoo Worked out the stearing… now just have to get the ESC to behave…[/EDIT]
    [EDIT]It Lives…
I tried my Traxxas Controler instead of one of my Mini Z controlers, and I have got the 18T running… now I can start trying to make it run well 😀
    [/EDIT]

Well I found the Mounting screws for the TLT Long Body posts I have match the thread for the Speed 300. Bit of work with th edremel shortening them and that is a perfect fit.
This is what she looks like at the moment, (still need to do the stickers)

    rc18t12c6402ns.jpg
[EDIT]Oops forgot to mention, yep 6 AA cells through th emotor and a dremel sand disk got rid of the ribing on the motor, and then I just ground in a flat spot for the grub screw. So the motor now works for the pinions I have.[/EDIT]

Got an other stupid Question (I think I’m getting close to the end of my list of em)
The Stock Motor Mount screws don’t work for the graupner, what are the size and thread gage to mount the graupner? BTW My earlier question also what are the details of the Caps I need?

If I were to fire up the engine and put a file to the shaft it would be the most effective way to pollish it back evenly.
At the moment I don’t have an ESC…
Would it be safe to simply put 7.2 Volt streight from a stick pack into it? for this or am I asking to burn out the engine that way?

Yep the Pinions I have are the alloy ones that came with the Kit version of the truck…

I think I’ll see what I can manage with a dremel and a pair of protective goggles.

If I polish off the ribbing and then put a flat spot on the shaft it should work… Shouldn’t it?

Hey Ph2t May i ask how you got the 18T pinion to work with the graupner 300 motor? the output shaft on it appears to thick for the Pinion gear.
Still waiting on my Damned ESC from tower… Not happy about that at all.

So now I have a Motor, but No Caps on it…
What size Capacitors should I be using for this little escapade?
And what gage wire for that matter?

Just went to Hobby Place at Lunch to look for the E Clips.

Hey Betty, What is the name/address of said hobby shop?
I misread what comes in the kit and need a motor.
The Kit isn’t bad, though the Hex key they provide doesn’t fit all the bolts correctly. The 5mm Pillow balls are have a slightly larger hew than the Diff Adjustment.
I managed to trash 4 of the 8 E clips provided for the shock builds (So I now have rear shocks and no front ones).
I am still waiting on my ESC, somehow Tower managed to get the kit to me before the ESC, even though the kit was the part in high demand (Go Figure) If it doesnt arive in a day or two I am going to be sorly put out
