pics when you are done:)
thanks, ran out of white paint, partially the reason for going blue. Does look a bit dark thou:( We will see what it looks like after the decals are on. Just painted a second Impreza:). quick and easy one. Then onto the decals. Oh yeah, also made a fin for the back, should be on it next pic post as well:)
Oh yeah, watch out for peeling paint when you take off the tape (if you haven’t already?) after putting on the gloss coat (again not that it has happened to me or anything, hypothetical of course). I found using a knife or a sharp object to retrace the tape outline works best:)
Thin and many is what I have been told:) Seems to work best. Ph2t what do you think of that paint? Seems to take a l o n g time to dry? Make sure you don’t put nice little finger prints on it by handling it too early (not that I have done that or nething). u, I get dizzy just looking at your last post.
ph2t no antenna?
Thx betty. The way I finally did it was to use a heatsink on the first motor and a clip type device on the second (made from a bit racer). Avoiding wire attachment all together:)

thx guys. Nice to see how others are doing the same mod. I will be revisiting this mod soon. May have pics after the xmas season. I am not a big fan of tieing down the motor to the axle though. I had mine like this but not sure the effect (-ve) it would have on the overall power transfer to the wheels (alot of potential friction?)
Hey 1Gamer, my dual motor is in the shop (been busy with body mods and stuff lately). I can answer any q’s you may have and even re-post some progress pics for you if you like. I would talk to merc if you can, don’t think too many ppl have tried it?? You could always use the following for translating the Japanese sites:
http://babelfish.altavista.com/
It has been used here by members to translate others posts;) on occasion (hopefully not mine:sad:). Neway it works well. Please post the links to the sites that you found it on as I and I am sure merc-blue would love to see their ideas on this mod.
thanks barto. I could be happier with it but once I get the decals on hopefully it will look a bit better (paint that is). Still am happy with the overall body mod as it was the first one:) Will post more as I do more.
Ok, finally change the pic on page 9 of this topic. The ford is done except the small wing on the back and the decals. I switched to the RS colors of the ford and learned a few valuable tips along the way. I switched paint companies when I put on the blue and found that when I went back to the origional paint company for the black on the windows that I had some cracking:( occur. May try to sand it down a bit with the extra fine paper to smooth things out a bit?
Make sure you test the dry times of all your paints when you use them. The origional paints I used I was quite sure of the dry time, but I found out that dry time varys between brands and the cracking that occured was due to the new brand not being totally dry when I layered the old brand on top. I must admit I was warned about this but thought that I was allowing for more than enough time. Looking back I would have left it for at least overnight. Oh well these are all things that can be corrected the next time.
Arrgh, looks like I screwed up the ford and instead of modeling it after the 2002 car I did the 2001 car:( Oh well you win some you loose some I guess. Will post more pics soon, may slightly change the paint job tho?
ah shoot, I thought you said trekie? Can I change my vote?:smiley2:
civic history set, audi quatro history set, 911 history set… isn’t that what you meant pcd??????????

was wondering what that was:) Thanks for all the hard work A.
civic history set, audi quatro, or ferrari (I know that there are a few out already, but there are soo many nice ferrari’s:), I guess a 911 set as well, maybe even an american muscle set as well (camaro, corvette, mustang)

Thanks DT, saw the clear chassis somewhere b4, never thought it would be an easy way to do underbody lighting. Will have to check it out. Decals too, I am impressed.
No:( not yet. All the ones released so far are not but the controllers are set up to run two speed cars. (Actually not sure about the enzo yet, but I don’t think it is dual speed either).
Changed the pic above/last page. Painted white now, although I am not sure but the colour seems a bit grey still. May give it a forth coat tomorrow?

Well after my current project (almost done) it is the next on my list:)
Nice ride A. No stick:( or is that a semi automatic? In that case nice ride;)
Hope it works out for you.
Thanks all. The 206 I bought(bensu clone-best none bit shell imo)and just painted. The focus is just a honda accord wagon with a bit of putty added to the front and back. Will post more pics when the job is done. And wrc all the way:) 2002 colors to match what I have so far, lancer (done, thanks Tomy), 206 and Impreza (just have to add the decals) and the focus (paint and decals, may look for a wing as well?). As far as mass producing them:( this is my first work with putty and this one probably will be a loaner. May in the future have a few ideas 🙂 but first things first. Will post pics when I am done.
I was hoping you could tell:sad:. Anyway it’s a focus. Will be painting it soon. pics to follow:)
