If you had tried something just slightly longer or shorter, it could well get it back on song!

Might want to consider the Desert Hound too, Tamiya’s latest all-new basher 4WD buggy. It’ll make a great backyard basher & shouldn’t be too expensive.
The Stadium trucks are 2WD only.
I wouldn’t run touring cars on anywhere but the track, ground clearance isn’t enough for even small pebbles & there’s exposed gears/belts to worry about.

Ok I’ll keep Easter Monday free, no probs. Anybody else free that day?

From all indications, the small boxed 3 should be around the same as the old BCGs, and the big boxed 2 would be about 40-50% dearer (RRP say $50 & $80?).
Timewise I think they were talking a June/July intro (meaning you’ll see it on the kiddy TV hour) and they’ll start shipping soon after for the xmas leadup.
USA… land of the 55mph roadsigns. :shy:
Oz… 100km/h but they ping you bad at 103km/h. 🙁
At the motor show last month, Mazda previewed a
6 MPS or something… 4cyl but with turbo and 4WD.Some talk that it will be delivered eventually.
Where are you staying etc etc?
Happy to take you over to the our local track/s, then you can tell us if we got it made for RC or what. 😀
Sun 11, Mon 12, Sat 17, Sun 18… name your best date/s!
Matty, rouse up R too maybe – let’s show JK our town.
What’s R up to, head stuck in a lift somewhere? :clown:Anything fits the engine, but will it fit the *car*?? blackeye:
Pipe tuning is a black art. With 2-strokes, get it right and you might get 50% more power (within a certain rev range); get it wrong and it might be as bad as not having a pipe at all.
Pipe length is adjusted with the silicone joiner and/or a silicone tube at the stinger that you can cut to trial-n-error.

Yep, there’s 2 different Mazda 323 Astina generations there.
Whether they are SP20s or not, can’t tell… could always be “mockups” hehehe. 👿
SP20 is the 323 we got with the 626’s 2.0L engine. The base models get the 1.6/1.8L.
The current Mazda6 has a 2.3L now, and the Mazda3 just got released a few mths ago. So now its SP23.
(dang why can’t we get the Mazda6 with the V6 like the US does…!! blackeye: )It all really boils down to what you want to do.
Nitro:-
-noisy, neighbours might hate it
-dirty smelly, don’t store in your bedroom
-goes fast but more problems
-nitro fuel @ $12-15/L
-if you run out of fuel, play stops
-danger eg runaway car, hitting things hard
-engine hassles eg tuning, maintenance, startingElectric:-
-need to charge up, but its “free” :smiley2:
-can be modified to go just as quick
-less noise, can play till later in the nightTamiya don’t make many “good” nitro cars, probably its best ones are the monster trucks like the Terra Crusher and the newest TNX-1.
Kyosho is probably better for all other variants of nitro – touring, casual offroad, larger monster trucks.
If you’re interested in racing, best to check what your local club/s run first.

You guys drove THREE cars to BNE??? 😯
‘Fraid not. That’s been around since about Feb. 😯
Someone at Tamiya also installed a nitro FS12
into a Tamiya miniyon (mini 4X4) chassis.I guess its not R/C but…! :p

Quote:Naah. ‘Chris’ sucks. I asked if I could just have a 30 second look.
Chris : “Sorry Sir.”Well obviously he didn’t believe you were a true “buyer”.
Were you carrying a 200-butt chequebook?? :p:p
I think the RRP in USA is only US$150… so that HK listing at $159.95 isn’t doing anyone any favours.
Down here they were A$350 when they arrived 2 mths ago; yesterday the same LHS had them for $295.
Beware, you can seriously blow a lot of dough on Mini-T hopups. Bearings, motors, wheels, tyres, bodyshells (different colours + a Hummer and a VW Beetle coming soon), oil shocks…

Honestly, we should not speak ill of Mr Counter Guy.
Let’s call him “Chris”. 🙂After we finished with the SBCG and were trying to
get out, Chris was back at his post. He grabs us
and drags us back in, now to the other end of
their large stand… and points out:

This thing can run on land with 4 little 2″ wheels.
Its about 12″ square. However the wheels can also flip up-n-over onto
the deck and the thing now floats, has 2 props
at the rear. There are 4 cavities on the top deck
that accepts the road wheels.Chris winks and tells us with a straight face that
the 4 wheel cavities was the perfect size for
couriering VB cans to the pool… :p:pDamned this guy is a great salesman! 😀
At the same Funtastic stand, last year’s award-winning
Edge Hovercraft has spawned a little brother.
Edge uses 2 fans to power & steer, mini Edge
uses 1 fan and rudder panels.Quote:See any other goodies Panda? For matters red-n-blue-stars, also see
