Ya, you can get the same size batteries (I think they’re just “4/5 AA”) quite easily, but I don’t know if Orion & co actually do any “matching” of the cells.

Then again, I don’t really care, doesn’t make much difference for my use. A 6-cell AA side-by-side fits quite well right across the chassis; it might be too fat for some bodies though. I need 7.2V as some ESCs can refuse to work off 4-cells 4.8V.

Like, you mean the SPUR GEAR came loose and is spinning on the axle – thus the wheels don’t move, ‘cos the axle won’t be moving either.

Or else your wheels will just fall off…?

    Yup, its tight.

When putting the heatsink on, don’t just push *down* – try to push the tab ‘in/fwd’ too at the same time. When taking it off, push the tab ‘in & up’ too.

That bit is also part of the rear bodymount, so it can be cracked too if you have a rear impact or fall off the table landing butt-first.

Yup, that’s too true – you just can’t muck about with Newton.

Planes need to be as big as possible to fly well; I remember RC trainers with huge 8-10′ wingspan… these were super stable and flew extremely slow (walking pace!) too – they just about flew themselves.

Tiny planes will be too strongly affected by crosswinds etc. Anything less than 1′ wingspan would be totally uncontrollable, even a human’s breathing would affect it.

    Then again… what about a helium-filled Bit-Hindenberg?? :smiley1:

Nah, better to just build yourself another pack!!

Use AAAs if you can, they’re much lighter. Unless you’ve got access to the flat Sanyo cells (as used in Sony Walkman), which makes neater packing.

AAs have better capacity but they’re pretty heavy and I’d guess you guys don’t run for 30 mins flat?

    Sounds like a good choice!

Yeah, don’t need too many options on the mRS4 but I’ve got HPI’s big round motor lined up as well as purple unis with wheel nuts for the front. Already got the NiMH AA 6-cell pack joined up. Now if only I had time to go paint the body maybe we might even get it running… built it in 3 days but been untouched like that since xmas, wow nearly 1 yr past. :smiley3:

Sorry to burst your bubble ‘drew, but yes we’ve got the schematics.

Cripple cap is not featured on the specs. Its an add-on soldered right between the aeriel’s signal path and ground, so it appears its only use is to limit the transmission signal’s strength.

Part appears to be an afterthought on the earlier TXes, but on the latest lot of Boost controllers its probably designed in already. No add-ons seen there.

Well I wouldn’t say its impossible, but just more pain-in-butt than its worth doing.

There is nothing in the charging circuit that can ‘die’ just like that. (This is a genuine BCG, right?)

If there was anything that could be suspect, try changing the 2 transistors maybe.

Make sure also you haven’t broken the wires to the side terminals. Its too easy to do, I mucked mine up accidentally too and had to go dig out the solder iron.

Gotcha! Yup, no need to stick with Kyosho’s custom electrics, can just use fullsize standard stuff. I just have a Futaba standard servo for my mRS4’s steering.

Ya – *never* run without a body, that’s what its there for.

I have never (touch wood) managed to damage anything too badly on the 03 before, even after some pretty spectacular aerials. Have only replaced parts due to wear – eg suspension arms got too floppy.

Ok ok also have an 03R front bumper just about falling off (wife’s fault, she was driving) but still waiting for it to fall off first, there’s still a bit of lift left. :smiley9:

An ex had a shepherd dog (I swear its crossed with great dane!!) so big, it once swallowed her 15″ Snoopy doll in 1 gulp.

I think it’ll have little problem with a MiniZ even.. :smiley3:

Why, what happened here? I love BBQ Meat Lovers at PizzaHut… although I swear their standards have droppedover the last 10+ yrs.

My local PH served me up a bug (one of those ~1.5cm brown beetlely crawly types) half-embedded in the crust a few years ago. I think I still got the evidence stuck at the back of my freezer.

Didn’t go back to any PH too often after that.

Ugh, I just muched a pkt of Smiths “Chicken”… I sure dunno WHAT they tasted like, :smiley13:but it didn’t taste good at all. Just S&V or Original for me the next time.
