sounds like he didn’t have ENOUGH customers 😉
some he did, some he didn’t so well… hear of a few fellas who steve rubbed the wrong way over time

supposedly “wireless hobbies” up lygon st carries Losi stuff. But its pretty far
up Lygon which they call Brunswick but imho nearly Preston and the shop
looks like a hobby itself. They open only Mon-Fri biz hrs only, NO WEEKENDS
or even halfday Sat… how lame is that??

Have never been there whilst its open, traffic is chokkas getting there always.

tell her you love her so much that’s why you’re selling as a whole,
‘cos otherwise you’d be splitting her up “for parts” as they fetch more 😀

(umm… the girl got 4 limbs or 4 wheels??)

Trackside had some Losi stuff sometime back, haven’t been there lately.

The Micro Desert Truck runs well, better with full bearings in the wheels.
I’ve got the stock MicroT which i think looks waaay cuter! 😉

just use “blackboard” paint on plywood… easier to paint than gluing sheets of sandpaper!!

besides you don’t really need more grip anyway, there’s plenty on most surfaces

yeah the car is pretty tough, its built to flex… the metal bits might bend though.

would be a bad idea to replace everything with alloy imho 😉

can’t say the same for the cheapass TX though… aerial screws in
right at the very top, rugpuppy has already broken it off

Might go build another battpack from 4x BCG-surplus cells, lord knows i got heaps 😀
Only runs like 5mins per charge which isn’t very satisfying!
(motor gets warm, so its definitely getting a good feed)

My uber-generous bestman just donated a MicroT to the willy garage. 😀

Stripped & rebuilt with bearings whilst waiting for battery to charge.

Wow – they go pretty quick!

$100 were for the onroads ‘cos that’s what i was eyeing,
but the monsters were probably not far off either.

    $79US yeah? without shipping?

    plus factor in the ‘impulse’ buying mentality at an auto show;
i don’t think the buyers really cared about the $$.

… also lots of Electrical Standards etc etc that regulate the amt
of RF any equipment can leak, to pass CE etc etc…

But occasionally truckies’ CBs can still glitch Band 6 Blue on 27MHz
if you’re operating near a busy interstate highway.

car ESC usually comes in a plastic/square case,
    plane ESC usually just shrinkwrapped?

Plane ESCs usually have an “Arm=Start” button that you have to press
after connecting power otherwise the motor won’t run when throttle up.

All AM gear on same freq will work with one another.

However FM is more complicated, there is more than 1 tansmission standard
and mixing different brands will cause problems.

Usually get a better chance if you use same xtals brand as the TX.
(most cases FMs don’t like other brand xtals anyway)

So no one’s gunna GUARANTEE you ANYTHING, just have to test it yourself.
