what kind of ESC specs do you need?

go look for a Nosram Dominator or its LRP equivalent, from like 10y back
they’re made for 540s so they’d be “unlimited” for 130 motors

or go brushless for MiniT? 🙂

i occasionally use my Swallow EQ to charge AAs… when i CBF’d taking
them outta cradle and there’s crocclips already on the EQ

usually charge them in 2 lots of 4… 1 lot of 8 is doable but can falsepeak easier imho

if i have loose AAs i’d put them in my Sony 4hr or Sanyo 15min fastchargers
depending on how soon i need them

yea those china jokes are cheap & nasty, they make them to put into OEM china cheap stuff

bought heaps of LR44 in various different packaging, usually $1 for 10-12 strip or $3-5 in a multipack with different sizes

got a whole swarm of little clocks that use LR44s… and they need replacing every 6-8 wks with the cheapos

genuine Energizers go at least 6-9mths in same clocks, Maxell probably longer too (but i ain’t wasting those willynilly)

haven’t had time to play with the Q-steers much so dunno how they’ll run on cheapo batts vs Energizers

i use quite a few LR43s in Nintendo Game&Watch too… and Energizers last a lot longer than the no-names too

ya i wasn’t racing last yr

had bolted the camera to DF03 for camcar but just before the race start
the motor decided to throw a wind and jammed up everything

The Egress had come along for the ride just for show-n-tell ‘cos i’m told
its got some racing pedigree… got run in some Oz Nationals back when.
But it ran great thru about 3 packs worth over the 2hrs!

They are a PITA to work on!
It still hasn’t been touched since last yr, just got bunged back in its box.

yeah i’m sure there’ll be a few cameras floating around 🙂

we even had an onboard cam last yr… haha i was it… on an Egress 😀

but this yr someone’s actually signed me up on a raceteam so dunno
if i’ll have any time to take good pics or mount a cam on my racecar

one of the racers writes for RC CAR mag so there might be an article there

there’s even talk of film crew turning up, we’ll see!
