i figured that not a lot of ppl are bit hobbists in montreal, ppl that ive meet here just has one and never got into it. its probably because there’s not many place u can get it here. the only way i get mine are by ordering them from HK and Japan in chinatown.

we’re probably gonna use plywood and varnish it, but if we might use masonite if its really cheap. i dunno wut problem our bits have, but sometimes it handles REALLY well without tipping over and some other times it can’t handle at all. we ordered some soft tires that r comming in today. hopefully that will help.

one problem me and my friend encountered is the size of the track. if we want to run 2.2 and 2.6 motors on the track how wide should the road be? i read somewhere that suggested 20 to 30 centimeters, but we calculated that the track will be really big if we follow that. do we really need such a wide track?

i think me and my friemd will most likely use plywood to make our track. and so far the only mod i did that i was pleased was the 2.6 motor. i wanted to put a bridge cos i saw it on davef’s page and i thought that was a pretty cool idea. Shypo, do u suggest me getting a booster set and modify it? cos i was thinking that i would want that option when i pit in. wut if i hold the boost button the whole time that i am racing, and only let go when i pit in, would that drain the battery faster than a normal bit?

my first bit was the honda NSX-R until. i still have to find time to fix the steering coil. now im working on a S2000 with a 2.6 motor, and trying to control it. i’ll be working on bits less now cos i promised myself that i would finish building my TAMIYA S2000 1/10 scale. i’ve had it for like more than a year now and haven’t finished it.

i was playing with my bit again to see wut might the problem be, and it looks like i need some soft tires. for example if i press a direction and then press forward, the bit will do massive dounuts. and if i go straight and then press a direction the car will kinda drift a bit and the turning circle is very wide, and when i let go of all the buttons it does a 180…plz let me know if any of u have this problem too.

thx a lot guys for the tips. i was looking around in a hobby store today, and i found a lot of useful stuff in the train section. I think my track well be using a lot of that stuff, like the grass and stuff. but the buildings and trees r a bit pricy.:dead:. i also saw some liquid of some sort, its meant to reproduce asphalt…but i dunno how to use it. i might go there again and ask the guy. i have a feeling this track project will be a big investment. its i good thing me and my friend is spliting for this.:D
