ive got all those shells, and the celican and rx-7 are the best ones to get for racing. the gloria seems to get stuck on barriers a lot coz of it square edges and the ferrari doesnt allow for enough air follow to the motor to cool it down, causing it to heat up the motor alot!

    plus celicas look cool!!!

ok i must of gotten ripped off at dickies i spent like 30cents each on a cap!! hahahahahaha

i tried the mod 2nite with a little help from a mate and we put the new cap on my lxx 27mz booster controller and it charges the car for 15secs more….

when i change the cap i noticed that the orginal lxx cap was a 10volt 100uf capitor and the new 1 i put in is a 16v 100uf one.

still the car ran for longer on that single charge so all around its a success.

also my h-1 27mhz hummer doesnt charge no more i checked to see the cap in it and i found two caps in it one 10v 33uf and 1 10v 220uf could these be blown cauing it not to charge anymore? would i stuff the controller if i put in two 16v 100uf’s to replace them both??????

also (again) when i was buying the caps i saw they had 25v 100uf’s which were the same size, would these be better to extend chargiong times or would a higher uf rating be better?

    1. no it stops charging after 45 seconds you have to take the car off and place it back on the charger for it to charge again.
    2. other sites to buy parts are in the links in this website here

i just want to know the specs of the thing before i got to an electrical store asking about cap’s.

use a paint the changes colours from different angles. like the black pearl that turns purple. or try a dark blue with silver flakes.

i made my track using a piece of mdf i found which was 2m by 1m and hell of lot of foam i found at the back of a fish tank store. i cut all the pieces of foam and glued the foam onto the mdf which i painted black. all up the paint cost me 12 bucks the rest was for free!!!:D

this is what it looks like.

i had a problem with the font steering knucles (or however you spell it) of a LXX going into an original BCG. they seemed a bit to large, they fit in place alright but as soon as the suspension went up it stayed up because it got stuck in the top hole. causing the wheels to stay up at all times and steering was compromised.

i dunno maybe it was just me?

ok i was impressed by the first lot of cars i sent off to micro so i sent off a couple more……….

second time around they are the bomb!

the lxx booster i sent him now flys. off boost it has alot of power now and on boost well it flys.

and the tomy BCG i sent him with his new and improved method of fixing fets on is now a killar machine.
it has almost tooo much power but hay thats y its so much fun.

even on a race track on half boost with a 2.2 motor both cars have enuff torque to climb any lttle hills or bridges.

now all my cars are even more fun to race around with :D:D

latly ive been usin my rx-7 shell from the tomy auto modellista set and its a really good shell.

sits lower then a celica shell and i think gives better handling.

i might blast around with the rx7 for now just to make sure.

yeah i cant wait to get some new lambo’s or ferarris should be good to see how they handle compared to the best shells so far.

plus crashing a bit ferarri would be cool and hell of lot less expensive then crashing a real one! hahahahaha
