I’ve been looking around as well, most of the models i’ve seen so far are 1/24 scale while the mini-z are 1/28 scale so not much luck so far.

Dgs guess what i got a 350z 1/24 scale model lying in front me unbuilt, hehee:)

Plasma Dash are faster because they have big fat commy as ph2t had said and mainly because it only has 27t on the armature compare 40 something on an x-speed. I’m not sure if Neo magnets are the best but they are good i got a pair from ph2t:D. The Tamiya black magnets just came with the motor also known as ‘stock’ magnets. Less torque i guess. I got my Plasma Dash from Hong Kong i think i saw Plasma Dash before in Australia but that was a while back.

From what i heard from Geo-z S03 costs a bit because it has a bbcan, neo magnets and possibly carbon brushes.

Q1)Tamiya Plasma Dash motor is v. good i have one
Q2)No it doesn’t have Neo Magnets it has Tamiya black Magnets
Q3)Yes it is better then the pn s03 (Geo u know it i raced ya b4:smiley2:
Q4)I’m pretty sure many ausmicro members has ordered from dinball
Q5) High torque + high pinion gear would give you higher max speed but at the same time you lose acceleration and less run time

Hope it helps:smiley2:welcome to the board
*note you would need a turbo or FETS to run a plasma dash or you would see your stock FETS fry.

I saw the Sanyo 800’s at Office works before near the camera section just a couple in stock, It costs $11 or $12 just for 2 aaa Sanyo batteries!:shock:
I also saw them at Target before where they sell electronic stuff, they had aa, aaa and Sanyo chargers there. They cost about the same as office works, $12 for 2 aaa

Let me talk about my first experience with Whoa Nelly. Well when i first got it out of its well packaged box i installed 5 batteries to it and whacked on the front wheels, king pins and etc. back on. First test with Neo magnets 7t Plasma Dash it hit about 36km/h i think it was not bad then i whacked on a 9t it about 40km/h approx. then the monster 12t i got from ph2t it hit 58km/h w00t big difference i tell but the batteries die out pretty fast:dead:

Funny thing was when i tried the 12t and i hold the throttle both the rear wheels flew out and hit me in the face LOL but no damage was done to me or the car so i had to glue the wide rear wheels back on so it won’t fly no more. The weird thing is with the 12t the speed varies alot sometimes it would hit ranging from 52-58 fresh and dead batteries

Why aaron you want to come or something?:smiley2::smiley2:

We race at Meadowbank Netball courts around midday 12ish or later but Dgs wants it to make it 1 so everyone can come on time and etc. not too sure about that one. The exact address is on the end of adelaide street and the cross street is andrew street. Here is a map of it.

    here’s the link to it

GP Gold Peak is a Hong Kong brand company and they make bloody good batteries i tell you i have a set and they are good as what~

A bit out of the topic here, I got my car today and i used the Powertech 800 battery on the 5th cell holder while using GP on the other 4 and after a run i keep hearing this sizzling noise which i don’t know where its coming from,
Then when i loooked carefully i see a little spark shooting from the 5th cell holder continously, very very small on the button size of the battery. I switched it off and the spark continued and then i took the battery out and i found out that the white stuff around the button of the battery became soft which felt like wax[xx
    (]:dead:

Then i heard this continous ticking noise from the battery:angry::angry: I’m like wtf? i thought it would explode or something then i left about 10min. then it stopped. Anyone know whyu?

Yeah i agree, i end up eating lunch before hand and ending up late to the race~

I guess pizza delivery is the best way, off course everyone pays for themselves or if someone is rich enough he can shout for all of us LOL

Seriously get some cones or something and actually claim our area, or use a kid as an example and scream the crap out of him.
