Yeah, less amount of battery power gives a weaker signal. I suggest you begin with inserting new batteries before you start pulling your parts apart!

But I see 9 cars lined up at the starting grid…:smiley2:
How I wish the people at my work could understand the Char-G circus, man these gadgets ARE more than just toys!

I?ve have a couple of pics for ya here with the car on the charger:

I?ll see about the battery later tonight, I have one car in pieces at home so I?ll get back to ya soon ?bout that.
Here are links for two videoclips (shot with my Konica stillcamera), one showing top speed and the other one showing low speed & handling:

I?m not an Aussie, but I guess I?m the first & only guy in Sweden that possesses two of the new beauties: The Jota & the Countach.
These cars look so lovely in their boxes, so I guess they?ll have to stay in there! :smiley2:/Trackmaster

That?s why I?m still talking ?bout modifying…:p
The cars are ordered & on their way, let?s see what they?re made of!/Trackmaster
Well, the 206 body will not be to small at least, it?s a liiiittle longer than the LXX body, but you will get it to fit.
You do not need any fancy heatsink other than for looks./Trackmaster
The Bullet 206 body is a bit longer than the TOMY one, I?ve put one 206 shell on one of my Hummers which also is a bit longer. Looks awesome with those big Hummer-tires and the 206 body!
The 3.8 is a killer both in top-speed and in acceleration, I doubt that the 4.2 would any different./Trackmaster
Yes, while the car was on both controllers it works, once off it won?t. Spankin new batteries in the controllers, original battery + new replacement battery in the car.
It really sounds like no power comes into the car battery, or at least it won?t stay there. Since the car works on the controller with a cell in it, power must come from the charger through the battery to the steering and the motor…

Trackydacks???
Please, if you?re addressing me, use my chosen profilename. The blender: Naah, I don?t want the blender to screw up too blackeye:
The car:
-It doesnt work on the charger without a cell in it.
-It does work on the charger with a cell in it.
-The cell in the car have been charged on 2 separate chargers with the same result.
-Different controllers have been used.Man, maybe the blender IS an alternative…?

Hi perriscope
New batteries, different controllers, no contact. I?ve even tried the above mentioned controller together with another blue Impreza, and the controller is fully functional with the other car (I have to try it the other way too, I guess).
I don?t really give a sh*t about this particular car any longer, but just for the fun out of it I?d like to see how far people can stretch to help out. Find the solution and you?ll find yourself a nice reward!!! :p

Anybody interested in a Subaru Impreza, never been used, mint condition?? :smiley2:

Fellow Bit-chargers
This car is…strange!
I can inform that if there isn?t a battery present in the car, the car won?t run even when placed on the charger. The battery do have contact on both sides, I have tried 2 different batteries, checked every wire but still NO life.
/Trackmaster
It?s a Bit, if it were a clone I don?t think I?d bother asking…:smiley2:
Going home now to start investigating./Trackmaster
Hi micro Amps and the rest of you…
Thanks for all the info. I?ll sneak myself half an hour away from the family tonight (it?s 2 pm here now) and go through all these points again. I?ll have my digicam ready too :smiley2:

Hi ya all
I?ve tried to charge the car on another controller, the car works when placed on the charger, but no reaction when I pull it off there.
The battery is inserted correctly, otherwise I guess the car wouldn?t work on the charger.
I have bent the contacts a little to obtain better contact with the battery without any result.
I can?t see any loose cables anywhere, so I?m left out here in the blue.
Another question (I haven?t tried this myself yet, just came to think of it): Would the car run when placed on the charger if the battery was not present? If it doesn?t run then there can?t be anything wrong with the contacts, I guess./Trackmaster
Sure, I?ll give it a go. I?ll get back to you

If you can?t find anything nearby, you can order this set from Toyeast:

They?re only US$ 0.70 + shipping/Trackmaster
Impreza, my shirts have arrived, and I?m SOOOOO proud of ?em. :p Pics will come!
The Perfection JGTC shells are outstanding. The bodies have a clear gloss, like thin film over them. This film prevents the decals to fall off, and that I like! Plus they really do shine :smiley16:

Naah, I?ve said it before and I say it again:
Keep away from the clones if you?re serious about your racing.
If you just want to have some fun one evening, then I think it?s OK, but if you?d like to keep racing the following night, think again.
The clones tends to be non-working out of the box 10 times more often than the TOMY ones, although I begin to lose respect for the real stuff too.
You might know I occassionally sell a few of these gadgets here in Sweden, and I do get TOMY cars returned ?cause they?re not working properly out of the box. I think that?s sad when I always try to persuade customers to buy the real stuff to avoid this!
Anyway, my experience says that clones are cheaper, both in price and quality. In a pack like the one mentioned in this thread, I?m sure you?ll get at least a couple of cars working decent out of the box (or with minor adjustments)./Trackmaster
Isn?t it a Mazda RX-7 shell, fellas?
Silver lines always works, nice job!
