    Actually just to correct things about Firelap… No-one (myself included) knows how TE will be using the iWaver and the Firelap branding. What I do know is I have a pair of Firelap 4.0s coming in and currently have 2x IW02 in stock and a IW04 🙂

    MR15 may be a cheaper entry to Kyosho… (and has brakes)

    Yeah sorry guys – I knew i wanted to ensure Pete got his chassis back (running OK?) befoer the weekend, and couldn’t have done it leaving here going home packing the extra stuff and posting… sent it after work last night (18:30)….

    Been here since 7:15 this morning, and likely to be here til ’bout the same tonight…. So far things are just peachy… not…

    Welcome aboard!

    There are a few options. iWavers are definately getting better witht he IW02 being a lot better than the IW01s. The bodies are typically Narrow unless you buy Kyosho…. BUT I will do a mount test of a GT40 onto an iWaver chassis tonight.

    iWaver are currently re-jigging their line-up and supply is very limited, it is probably worthwhile waiting for the Firelap 2.0 modesl due Real-soon-now… They are the next evoltion from the IW02.

    Timing systems are hard work, a former collegue of mine (the dude behind DingoTimer which is big in Slot-car these days) looked into a transponder version and the costs of development were stupidly high, as ways the cost of implementing a system.

    One advantage of Kyosho is braking 🙂 IW don’t do brakes except psuedo braking in their up-scale transmitters.

    There won’t be iWaver alloy (which btw ain’t that cheap…) for the OL but what stauff can be swapped witht he Monster there’s a good chance 🙂

    It looks like the iWaver Alliy suspension mounts for Monsters have three height settings for the shocks like the Kyosho parts 🙂

    Yeah they’re being dumped in a few places around the globe and while $135 may not be attainable there’s some numbers very close.

    BTW dgs, the white readyset Pajeros are gone 🙁

    I’ve relented and decided Blobby (those in Syd who saw a protoype ‘blobby’ also saw how fragile the wiring can be) needs to be mounted on a circuit board. Getting a few boards made up for testing…. But was tinkering with the ‘Bean’ idea today and have come up with a design that is (wait for it) 10mm X 15mm X 7mm! It’s effectively the bobby board design, but manipulated around so that the entire thing can be cut in half and mounted back to back! Ofcourse it cound be made using a double-sided board cutting between 0.8 and 1.6mm from the thickness!

    Must work out how to make Eagle pop things on the ‘other’ side of the board!

    Tryign to find a shot of yours that looked good. Of the 100 or so shots I’ve got actualy very few are what i consider ‘good enough’ – I’ts not right to blame the equipment but quite honestly taking R/C photos is really hard to get right 🙂

    Attached is a pic showing the size of the court area. It also shows some of the other users of the area including the 1/10th Nitro runners diagonally opposite, the guy flying a kite/board thing around and all the little kids on bikes!

    Nah none of those are mine….

    My fleet consists of:

    1. Porsche (japan Built) MR01
    2. Porsche Concept GT iWaver
    3. Kyosho Monster
    4. IW 02 currently being built up

    Kitty has a few too, a Skyline MR01 and a IW04 ….

    Obviously there’s the 1/10ths, the uRS4 and stuff as well but essentially that’s it.

    I’m trying to desperately not buy stuff for me, although the guys can vouch for the amount of ‘stuff’ I carry as stock these days.
