I set the old For Sale forums to read only before I left yesterday. I’ll remove the old For Sales in about a week.

mmm There’s a Mods to make the Events calander work like the rest of the site (ie you submit something and then it gets queued for approval).. I’ll implement that soon too.. *looks at list of things to do which just keeps getting bigger*..

In the mean time any events can be PM’d to me and I’ll add them.

Gubble, they’re usually availble cheaply from weekend markets and that kind of thing. I have a couple of Taiyo genuine Radicans (on which all these Tin Cars are based). They’re not cheap but they are For Sale 🙂

http://www.rcmart.com also have brushes, but they’d be pricey to land by themselves.

Be very interested to hear about the moter rewinding? How about submitting a quick article up to ausmicro.com?

Guys feel free to use the “submit a link” function to get links like this added to the Links section. It is more permanent than the fourm posts which will archive off in time.

The ISP may be the cuase of some of the problems, sadly we dont have the $$ to move somewhere with more processing and web link grunt, but the guys we’re with do their best for us!

Ahhh at the moment I haven’t set a cut-off. What I’m hoping will happen is that epople will start posting new stuff here and just finsihing off old threads in the old one. However I may close and lock the For Sale forums in it late this week.

There is definately a minor slow down that I’ve noticed. The problme in part is due to all the extra stuff happening with your user IDs and so on. I will be refining the way things run so it shoudl speed up (or step back up to normal) speed over the next few weeks!

Sort of, I migrated the user DB but haven’t fixed the missing posts from between November and Christmas. We will be putting those back but it takes a little bit more custom programming (much like adding the ability to have users personal avatars)

The Rep points are reputation, I haven’t fully figured out how they function but like the gold we may find a way to use them or I’ll just axe them from the code!

Do you have a Jaycar store near you?

The Jaycar charger is pretty cheap ($30 I think) and does a nice job 😉

No worries Dave, I think they left Japan this morning or something silly like that. Trading Direct typically don’t put anything on their site unitl it’s in their hands, so it could be about a week!

If you use the full “Reply to Topic” function (below the quick reply window) you get the ability to put in that kind of thing I think 😉

I know this may sound like a dumb question, but is it the colours of the messages or the font sizes or the fact that it’s different that is the most dizzying thing?

Keep in mind to that you can change the colour schemes in your profile!

I dunno… Digi-Q pricing is pretty extreme, and they’re not that common with Wholesalers either. Bit of a shame really.

The good news is Stephen from Trading Direct tells me he’s going to get some in to see what they’re like. He’s had some queries about them, so he’s taking the plunge and bringing in a box.

    Yeah – they are.

What most people don’t know is there’s a limited number being made, under 4000 of each Military type, and under 1000 of each Civilian Type.

I’ve got one two… lots of fun and great quality considering they’re not a ‘real’ Tomy

Yeah it looks good – I’m having huge teething problems importing the users though. That and setting up moderators and the like seems to be difficult.

I’m starting to think I may not be able to do it by importing the user base 🙁
