i had a look around that site,

some of those cars are so cool, i saw a porsche, an alfa romeo, bentley, and a corvette.

how do they make tose things? they’re so detailed, and the paint jobs are really good.

anywaythanks for that, it was worth seeing

Thank you, Dan! These are interesting informations. I hope i can find those cheap plastic models as they are

    a) lighter then diecast models

    b) easier to cut, drill, glue….

hope your website will be online soon!

This looks like a good idea but since I only have one car I’m afraid I’ll screw it all up and ruin a car. I can’t get a battery of the right type until probably4+ weeks. Is it okay If I stick a somewhat larger Ni-MH 3.2 volt battery for my second battery? I really want to kick my brother’s but (I already do, but once he get’s the stearing down, his car has faster acceleration and slightly faster top speed then mine. Plus, sometimes my dad drives his and he’s unstoppable, and when we play r/c car “tag” you can’t hit him until something goes in front of him to stop him. Plus, I’ve a feeling that my friends are soon to get cars to, and I’m not going to maintain a record of having a top speed, once my friends get upgrades. Your help appreciated.

Johnuk, what do you think of the overall quality of your celica? I just ordered an OEM Thunder Skyline 35mhz. Toyeast states 90% quality of Tomy. Is it still ok though. I already have a Tomy Mitsi also 35mhz, (broke) and the oem price convinced me to buy it as a replacement. I’m still hoping to use the tomy controller though as it had a Cripple cap.

    Thanks in Advance

Rats, it didn’t. Well is seems the the Bit copies sold under the name of “Z-Cars” doesn’t have a cripple capacitor. I found out though that my batteries were near dead, so I replaced them and instantly I have better range. For those of you who can’t extend their range, try that and it might help.

most hotwheels/matchbox are 1/64 scale, just as bit char-g.. but on the downside, bitchar-g is a “super deformed” 1/64 scale, with a MUCH shorter wheelbase. As such, 2 options exist:

Cut a existing body in 3 parts, remove the center spacing, and glue back together to match the short chassis of bit char-g.

Extend the chassis to fit the 1/64 scale bodies.

I’ve been working on the latter option particuarily, but some have shortened their matchbox diecast to fit…

On a different field, if you don’t want to work with diecast, many department stores sell VERY CHEAP (quality and price) 1/64 plastic cars, which are easy to work with in terms of the first method- My local walmart sells 4$ “playsets” of police and military, yielding about 4 bodies per box, police cars, unmarked cars (after a paintjob- look pretty decent), hummers, and some wierd trucks… since the entire “toy car” business is dominated with diecasts, it makes our job that much harder.

You might also consider a thin vacuuform of a matchbox if you can find rigid enough plastic, although some parts will have to be added afterwards- mirrors, overhangs, etc…

Hey, a little off topic, but I wonder if a my Z-Car has a cripple Capacitor. Doesn’t go to far, so I’m tempted to tear apart the controller and find out. But then again since the controller is different then Bit Char-G cars… But hey, other then that, the car is the same. Gotta find out, post up soon.

BMW M3, fiat punto rally; yeah and Lamborghini is always good. Maybe a PorscheCarrera GT3 and a lowered Daihatsu Coure with alu-rims, double-exhaustion pipe and black, like mine….. wink )

But like the new Mini, publishing these cars will make them too expensive because Tomy has to pay for the publishing-rights unhappy
