got it out with soldering iron.
I was there on friday around lunchtime and they wereall gone.:smiley7:
When I say that the controlls are switched (forward & reverse) I’m talking about the OEM bullets that come with the round controller. I didn’t buy the OEMs that look like the tomy style, so I don’t know if these are switched. The OEM bullets that come in the dome are the ones that I’m talking about. They come with a telescopic antenna which I prefer. I use my 45mhz OEM controller for my supra and it works perfect.
Also you could take your car to an electronics store. Maybe they have a replacement partor they can fix it. Tell your car to stay away from the light lol good luck…
How Did you get it out?? What did you use. it wont come out for me
I don’t know, I might just break out the desoldering braid and do it. . . I’m just scared it won’t work after.
Hi, thanks for your replies. The Thunder range, look under ‘OEM normal’ at toyeast theres a few thunder cars mixed in, look like identical copies of original Tomy bits. Even the controller looks the same. I dont quite understand why the contols are reversed, are they only reversed if used with an original bit, or even if using the oem car as well. sounds really confusing if used to normal rc cars.
Payaso -ihad a little accident whilesoldering.I tried an antenna upgrade, but the wire seemed worse than the original so removed it and tried the solid copper core stuff, but a little component on the pcb next to the antenna mounting point, must of got too hot, and broke in two! still seemed to work on its own, but when racing with other cars became extremely stuttery, so i assume it was some sort of inteference filter of some description. oh well…
Tahts the problem .. you need the BLACK PINION on your motor, not the white, that is for bit racers .. cahnge to the black oneand you should be right !
send an email to bit_charg_oz@hotmail.com they can get you booster sets !
Thanks Deejay, I was about to post that…

QFM is back online.
Walmart carries them in Jersey but for 39.99. I am guessing the set I saw is more comprehensive than what you folks are talking about, because I cant imagine walmarts varying thier prices by that much.
The one I saw comes with a decent sized track. one car, but two sets of axles, tires heatsinks, free roller axle, guide rollers, bodies, etc.
What does the 15 dollar one come with?
no such thing as a free lunch… enter a draw to try and win :smiley2:
what gear setting and motors are you using?
I improved the range on my supra by adjusting the (pot) filter. Now I read this and I’m thinking that if I cut this chip out I’ll need binoculars to race, but I checked it out and the chip in my car is globbed up with solder too much.
Ok, I found it. It’s under the plastic cover, to the left of the 45 Megahertz sign. Towards the front of the car, under the antennae. I haven’t done it yet. It’s pretty tiny. . .
on top of the electronics, near the stablelizer bar. this chip is located in between the big yellow chip and the red resister. If you have other bit-charge car, you can open the electronics cover and make the comparison.
Where is it? Underneath the electronics? Is it hard to get to?
Does anyone know if there are places in melbourne where you can buy upgrades to bit charg cars? i strongly doubt that toys r us or kmart would stock them and i asked hobby place yesterday and they didn’t either.
I have a few OEM bullets and a few tomy cars, and both work great. The thing is that the parts need modification if you wanna change em, like body shells, and gears. Also if you wanna use the tomy controller for the OEM bit the forward and reverse are switched. So if your gonna buy the 35mhz OEM you might as well use the controller that comes with it. They come with good controls. BTW what happened to your car? It’s not able to be fixed?
somebody correct me if I’m wrong

hey cashmo33, count me in :smiley1:
what suburb? I don’t think they are any tracks in adelaide yet, but I was thinking of making one, seeing the other projects people have done.
a trip to bunnings could get all the necessary materials for one I reckon
This chip is on the reciever inside the car,(not in the controller)
check out that the earth connection to the underside of the pcb on the bit is still connected. if not, solder it back on.
If it goes in a straight line with a 1.0 this proves my theary. The 3.0 is too fast for dirty tires. Try cleaning the surface that you are racing on really well , and also clean your tires. Try this on a glass surface. I think this should work for you

Okay, we are down again. Our ISP cannot seem to fix our webspace issues quickly. We hope to hop between available webspace to keep the site running, until our ISP issues have been fixed. Thank you all for your patience and support!

The supra is my first bit as well. 🙂 I have a 3.0 motor with it(got it for free from toyeast). I will also be buying a 2.2 . . .
