Mock; a thought… dont use that carbon vinyl on the outside of your shell, one roll and you’ll be wanting to pull it off again. These days there are decals that are stuck to the inside of the shell previous to painting… there may be a carbon type one available, so no matter how many times you roll you wont damage the carbon fibre finish.
yea, there’s no real need to use spacers… on 01 just go narrow or wide all round (depending on the width of the body, of course! I found wide on all four corners to be quite nice to drive with a Merc. wide shell…), or get a set of each for 02, narrow front and wide rear. This’ll give you a spare set for your 02 as well… hope this helps
yea, i agree. without this site, there would be no Sunday racing… three cheers for birthday boy… btw, going to be in Lithgow for racing this weekend again so wont be at Meadowbank…

and the Zs of course…:smiley2::p how’s the Minis going guys?
pretty hot weather-wise… not to mention a total of 3 Z’s carking it during the day… and there was only three of us there!! None of mine gave in to the pressure, i’m pleased to say. Congrats to your sis btw TD…:D
and most of us will be there this Sunday the 3rd…:smiley2:
oooh… bold type font… lol Mocky; you MUST be present this Sunday. Kev i think was next Sunday, Pete
sounds interesting… looking for something around the 12-15 turn mark for park running. (now have a speedie that can handle it…) Still want the Trinity for racing though
at this stage the track will be present… four Z’s is enough in my opinion…
nah mate… Bithed sent me that ages ago… can grab some more for you if you like…
only got half that left sorry… its just Kyosho carbon look stuff… better scale for 1/10 too. Try your LHS
Red Dwarf movie? Smeg!! How did this fly under my radar? Did this ever eventuate? (i know this is an old topic…) Dave; i did’nt mind series 5… Rimmer’s being taken by the crew of the “Holoship” was pretty funny… Heaven and Hell was pretty crap though. Gotta say series 1 and 2 are the best though…
no worries… looks like i’m charging batteries all Saturday afternoon now… oh, bring the Giant Dave. I’ll chuck the T in the bag. Hey look! This has become the Sydney racing topic now…:p:smiley2:
i’m there. We racing this Friday Dave? Pete; bring a Z. We all tend to have one there, something to do when the 1/10 batteries die…

Quote:kev want the BEST stock motor localy cant go past the EA tuned trinitys.. can get them from harrisRCyeah, i’ll be grabbing one of these shortly
Mocky; i think i can help you here… as for windows, if your shell does’nt have the window surrounds (some do, some do’nt, it seems…), try this; after spraying the body, cut the decals while still on 1.5 – 2mm in from the edge (needs steady hands), then remove those pieces you cut. If done right, you’ll be able to spray the window lines in, and if you’re really good with an artists blade you will find it looks as good as the actual window trim decals. (cheers big Dave for this tip…) As for applying decals hassle free, look for Kev’s Mini topic, i outline a simple method that is pretty much fail-proof. Do you need carbon decal? lol And as for the Lancer, will double check tonight, but i think Frewer do make one… you’ll have to ask Z-beam about tints and stuff
