Have you checked the battery in the car with a multimeter after it has been through it’s charge cycle ? Does it register anything ?

From the TGA website, it looks like there may be a Monaro in the pipeline as well (or is that just wishful thinking ?)

In both cases Genspec, I would try doubling the larger capaciter.
The nano’s 100uF can go up to 220 uF 10V
    The compact’s 47uF can go up to 100uF 10V.

OK, I finally got around to doing this today. I checked the charge times before making any changes and the Nanoracer/Fitracer was charging for 75 seconds anyway so I didn’t change the cap on that one. The Compact was getting a charge of about 45 seconds with the 47uf cap. I changed this to a 100uf 16v cap and it increased the charge time to 95 secs.

My BCG gets about a 75 second charge after performing the mod from QFM, ie, replace the stock cap with a 47uf 16v one.

    🙂

A mate at work came back from Japan over twelve months ago with a Toyota bB Bit. From the moment I set eyes on it, I wanted one. His brother in law bought me out an Initial D set about ten months ago. I have since purchased a Nano Celica and a Compact Skyline. As well as all the bits and pieces from Aaron, tyres, suspension, gears and a new motor.

I believe it could be. Just try a new pair of cells in the controller to find out.

Win a rare Nissan Calsonic TOMY Bit Char-G in March. Impress your mates.

Have a look at http://www.questformadness.com. They have some really cool mods but the ones you should have a look at are #12 – to see what the spring should look like and #17 to see how to make a replacement spring.

My best attempt so far was my Initial D chassis with 2.6 motor, original medium Bit tyres on the front and the Hard Nano Racer tyres on the rear.

Could also be a problem with dust around one or both of the front axles. Could also be a problem with the axle itself. You didn’t mention what type of car it is. Is it a Bit Char-G, Compact char-G or one of the clones ?

The reason that I ask is that a friend bought a couple of Fit Racers and one would not steer properly from day one. I showed him how to remove the front wheels from the knuckles but there wasn’t any dust or hair. When I replaced the wheels, I found that the wheels did not spin the same. This is when I noticed that the axle would actually push in so far that it locked the wheel and stopped it from spinning freely. A small adjustment with a precision screw driver and all was fixed.

Dave, I think the steering problem document is a great idea.:)

I’ve put them up at http://bitcharg1.netfirms.com

They may take a little while to load as I wanted to keep as much detail as possible.

No comments on the crappy layout please.:smiley2:

Thanks in advance for any assistance.:)

    Which one ?

The Red 1965 Sunbeam Tiger 260, driven in the opening scene in the first two seasons or the blue VW Karman Ghia that was in the next two seasons or the gold 1969 Opel GT that was in the last season ?

How about make something up to go in the slot that can be removed, rotated and placed in the top of the slot to raise the shell again if required. Something like a grommet that can be turned upside down. Just an idea.

How about the option of having your name or online name embroidered on the front as well ?
