yeah ive had mine since around 1990…it still goes heaps well. it runs a 130 style motor and has a really dodgy diff which makes it turn…

its my understanding that the magnets in a char-g are neodyium rare-earth anyway but you can get stronger ones meaning more responsive steering….

a rack and pinion setup would be easily achievable, i was thinking about this the other day…a second motor would control the turning

i used a heated up screwdriver and a needle tipped soldering iron to “smolder” the plastic away

if you remove the stock stabiliser/suspension bar you can keep it low and use springs

I have the maddest idea for a truck..put a magnet or an electro-magnet in the back so you can tow your bit out of graveltraps

make sure you do destroy the shaft where the steering cover screws down onto..i did that and now i have to glue it down…annoying ++

180 degree turns are not drift…thats spinning out…my dual cell can do perfect 360s and keep going if i take the tyres off

yes you most definately can! all parts are interchangable with normal bit char-gs the only difference is the circuit…

i used a floppy disk spring to make a stronger one for my dualcell…
ive got some old ortho bands lying around so ill give it a go…
