TallduDe let us know quality etc.. when it comes in??? I will have to wait till early next month b4 I can order one:(
I find that if you order a bunch from toyeast the shipping doesn’t change much from when you only order a little.
Sorry Mut1ey, my bad. Click on the 4th row of green writing under that picture. And then scroll down. If you still can’t see it (grey) I will post it in my members gallery for you:)
Prowler3 they are ~$15.50 USD each. I like what they have done with the wheels:)

What about a rotary engine?

Yep, you just have to make sure you get a good mesh with the gears and the pinon. Some clones come with odd shaped heatsinks that would also do the trick.
Found it. Wow oldtamiyaphile, you were quicker then the time it took for me to type your name;)
I used babelfish on the Tomy link and found http://www.taxi3.jp and here you are:0
I do like the customization sets that are out at the end of Sept. (on the same Tomy page as the Taxi3).

Most ship with a painted and clear one.

GM-05-07 show the set of 2 plus the tool.
Sry bout the Japanese, but I thought I would go straight to the source:)
Actually barto, the price isn’t that bad…US$

What I posted before was for a set of 20 I think?

Very nice, thxs for the link Barto. I think I may have to bookmark that one:)
RacerX you could prob. mod. one of the new super bits to look like the Delorian?
Ok first test is up and running under the Bit tech section under Bit Racer wheel/gear Mod test. Let me know what you think???
Ok this mod is functional and allows you to use the big gears that come with the Kit Racers. Two things are important to ensure that you have a tight mesh with the gears and pinon; using and reversing the larger white pinon that comes with the Kit Racers and using a tighter fitting heatsink that pushes the motor forward slightly.
This is just a test for the tech section and is by no means finished or the only way to do this. I just thought I would start things off:)
Just trying to link to a pic in my members gallery. Sorry for the off topic.

Mine are up in the member’s gallery 🙂 I went to extremes as well to plug the site:shock:
🙂 I hear you Shypo…
Thanks guys. I also have a webshots account but want to be able to link pics to the forum, individually. Any ideas? If not I will just put them in the gallery and link to them from there?

There, added pictures. Including a few of me in my Ausmicro shirts:) Will ‘freshin’ up the rest of the gallery when I get around to it.
At least I got rid of all those empty slots;)
Sry froggy, haven’t used that myself. If memory serves me correctly I think Panda should be able to help you on this one. Not sure if he has used crome, but he seems to know lots about paints.
spanky knows a thing or two as well, but haven’t seen him in the forums for a bit? If they don’t respond to a post here try to pm them.
Good luck, and take pics when you are done:)

I have an idea on the rating system? If members are able to submit mods like we are able to submit articles then the rating system could be taken care of by other members rating the posted mod much in the same way members can rate a posted article?? Aaron is this doable? If not then what other method of rating do you like better?
-including #1-5 in the message icon selection
-including a poll in the post for members to vote on
-the member posting the mod will simply select a difficulty rating
I will post a practice mod today but can be modified:) to whichever posting system you like best?
heck we can even run a poll to see what everyone else likes:) I thought since there may be possible code changes etc involved Aaron should have the last say in this one (since it is his site and all ) If this whole idea is a wash pm me:(
Will try to update/add pics to the member gallery soon. Thanks for keeping this thread alive barto;)
One step ahead of you ph2t, for once:). I was going to test this idea out tomorrow and include a picture of the tools required for the mod:) along with either a poll for skill level or some other way of indicating the skill level?
I also think that the clearly organized mods should find their way somehow into the tech section of the site. Maybe we could adopt a similar system to the one set up allowing members to enter their own articles?
Yep. It can help protect your paint job as well. Although you can get a nice shine out of just using a gloss paint without the clear coat. Click on the link in my signature below. The redsuns car (yellow) doesn’t have a clear finish on it, yet.
