Expect to pay $35 for a 3-4cm juvenile from a specialised aquarium store. These use to be $200 each when first brought in.
Juveniles won’t colour up like the photo until 15 months.
To post a photo, you have to have some disk space allocated to your account by your ISP. You then use FTP (file transfer protocol) to ‘put’ your files up into your available space.
From these forums, you can then use a URL enclosed by html tags /img to reference the photo.
Quote:thats a fish right?Yep. Sure is and he’s fresh water as well.

Now we’re really wandering off topic now…
Here’s my avatar. Protomelas steveni “Taiwan Reef” from Lake Malawi, Africa.
Yeah I’m tied down too, otherwise I’d head over there and go on a shopping spree.
pete.. sars, chicken flu, other respiratory infections…
Sorry Pete, I don’t know anyone that lives there since the 1997 takeover.
If I did, I’d have a monster, an f1, and every single autoscale body available…. Not to mention every gpm part available… ah the list goes on…
I ain’t getting anything… younger sis is going to US from HK and she said she ain’t going to carry any additional weight. 🙁
I got to find a good source for face masks…
Some times they have these 5 days hotel accomodation return air fare packages for around $1500 to $2000 which are pretty damn good.
hk dollars which equate to $162 AUD and $101 AUD.
I didn’t end up ordering from them after I checked out the following forum http://www.rctech.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=e616000f5350b05bfb2a6ceea4718631&forumid=57
Just doing some brain storming here. To keep the foam barriers for the curves and straights in place, could you use blue tak on rubber/foam mat ?
I was thinking, for a low pile carpet track, you could use sticky velcro strips that you could buy from home yardage and attach these to the barriers.
🙂
Won’t be coming on Sunday because it’s mother’s day. The Sunday 16th is good for me.
I’ll be running the porsche this time around, hopefully with some wider rear wheels if they arrive from hong kong in time. Been having problems with the 355 and the lack of clearance between the motor mount and the shell.
I just tried my I-waver d2 benz shell with the wide alloy wheels – front wheels can’t turn because the shell is in the way…. I’m giving up on this.
Still got to sort out my handling issues….
🙁

Been doing a little surfing and found the following review of topcad h-plates :
http://www.minizworld.com/modules.php?name=Reviews&rop=showcontent&id=54
Looks like a few aftermarket brands of h-plates have this problem as well.
In Windows Media Player, go to Tools->Options->Player Tab and make sure the “Enable Automatic Codec download” option is checked.
This should automatically download the div-x codec for you – or you could go to the div-x site and download it manually.
:smiley16:
Definitely not the shell or motor wires. I can see that the h-plate ain’t flexing back to its original shape.
I’ve taken the h-plate off the car, flex it a bit and lay it on a flat surface and press each end of the h-plate and can see the other side lift a little.
I think it’s time to buy some better brand ones.
Thanks for you replies.

Aaron,
Can you change the Member Name on the galleries index page ie. http://www.ausmicro.com/galleries/miniz/index.asp to dgs73 ?
I didn’t organise the day, it was dgs73.
Cheers,
Kevsta.Quote:yeah Pete, make me sound like the bad guy, roaring profanities at little kids… thanks buddy. It was more of a “hey! Wotchoo doin? geddaway from dat”, and with everyone else glaring at him, he got the idea.I thought I heard:
“How would you like it if I took your friend’s green machine (that tri-cycle thing with the big wheel at the front) for a drift”.
But I was standing far away and the wind was blowing…. 🙂

Geo, Sorry to hear the news about the beetle – but at least you went out in style (good time for an mr02 now). You should probably head back to the courts to see if you can find more of your parts… :smiley16:
My 355 nearly got run over by a kids scooter and that kid that grabbed dgs73’s clk and started to play vroom vroom with it saying “It’s only a small car”. blackeye::angry:
DGS, I still need practice at taking photos. You will notice that the photo of the gang has two heads missing – they were in the view finder when I was taking the photo I’m sure of it…:smiley16:
Petewah, where was the supra this week ?
Tim, the photos and videos have been uploaded to Aaron. You just want everyone to see you win the race with your turbo plasma right ? :D:smiley2:
I spent the night cleaning everything up, taking the ball diff apart and re-greasing. The soft compound tyres I had left this grey powderlike substance all over the chassis.
I’m going to run soft springs all round and soft h-plate next time around, hopefully my handling will be better and I don’t spin out on left turns. I reckon if we went clockwise around the hose, I would have stood a chance. :p
I won’t be making it next Sunday. I’m hosting a lan party in my garage with a few mates and we’re going to battlefield vietnam for a day or so.
Thanks for that Aaron.
I was wondering why they wouldn’t accept visa cards from people ordering from Australia & Indonesia but are happy to accept then elsewhere,
They’re prices aren’t too bad compared to other online retailers unless you know of a place that can do better ?
🙂Kevsta.
Yes, I’m bringing the digital camera – will take a few movies of the drags, track race and cars as well and will upload to this site for everyone to see.
🙂
I’ll try my best to be there on Sunday. My chores can wait till Monday. blackeye:
Why the sudden interest in external turbos ? I thought these were additional weights to a mini-z… Easier to install than fets ?
Thanks of the info dgs on the rims and shell.
Talldude, the ferrari shell ain’t bad at all I must admit but definitely china quality so no surprises.
I’m eager to get the esso ultraflo supra autoscale. Just got to find a decent online web site that has it in stock for the MR01.
As for handling, I’ve hardened up the rear with the hard h-plate, and yellow hard springs for roll shock and rear damper. Seems to turns corners better than my porsche setup – but this in on floor tiles. I’m also thinking of removing the front stabilizer/h-plate bar completely and placing some springs on top of the front knuckles to lighten things up a little.
:smiley16:Yeah, had to cut the shell up for the rear friction shock to get it to fit – it was either that or remove the friction shock altogether.
Also, the alloy motor mount didn’t fit, just a touch too large so went back to plastic.
Got the d2 clk. I’m a bit disappointed in this shell because of the way it clamps loosely to the chassis. Wondering if heat from a hair dryer would fix it up nice and tight….
Do you know if the clk alloy wheels have a front offset to push the fronts out from the chassis by about 4mm each wheel ?
I had a relative get these topcad alloy 7 spoke wide wheels from hong kong, and I suspect that they are clk wheels but don’t know for sure as they don’t fit the ferrari 355 as the fronts protrude out from the body. Would these alloys fit a supra body or nsx body ?
🙂
The clk iwaver body doesn’t clamp down on the chassis to well and one side sticks out more than the other, but the 355 on the other hand is a tight fit. Not too bad for a thrash body.
Geo, glad to see you could make it, the other forum is pretty dead.
Here’s a photo of it.:)

Got my i-waver bodies in the mail today. They look pretty cheap and surprisingly don’t have any light wells to put the light kit into. Paint job on them doesn’t compare to the kyosho auto scales – the top of the windscreen wipers is red not black. But overall, not bad for the price paid.
I just hope they don’t explode into little pieces on impact and provide at least some protection for the chassis.
Those wheel nuts look really delicate, and I think if you put them on at an angle it may strip the thread inside them.
Yeah, I reckon dgs’s clk has got some extras to run so quick.
Let me take a stab in the dark…
Motor can bearings ?
Silver Neo magnets ?
Internal fets ?
An extra cell or two ?
Or did he just take the x-speed sticker off and place it on his plasma ?:D:D:D
Don’t tell us. It’ll keep us all on our toes.
🙂
