Wow just randomly clicked on this site and there are some posts.
I’ve still got all my gear from back in the day… They’re all shelf queens now.
Yes I agree, it’s dead. I still have all my mini-z gear though !
Welcome back ! 😀
I don’t get why it goes down all of a sudden and takes a few days to come back up. Surely the people that host it would have monitoring software in place to poll all the app servers to ensure that they are up and running and alert them. Unless it’s a case where the bills aren’t paid on time.
I tend to visit mini-zracer.com more often these days for mini-z information as this site is getting stale.

You should start a thread with what you do with it. The site needs the traffic 😀
QUOTE]It’s a great little truck and my son loves playing with it. I’ve only added some rc weights on the front and back of the chassis. I might see if I can add some micro-t springs on it to give it a better stance – but that’ll be all for now as I’m still playing with the mr03.
This truck really needs lipo batteries, the standard losi batteries give very little run-time 🙁
I couldn’t help myself and bought one too -charging it up right now.
rchobbies is like only 5 minute drive from where I am.
You could try pm’ing ph2t to see if he has any woah nelly turbos available.

Hi,
I’m from the UK and i’m looking to get one of the Spider or Bug turbo’s for my Mini-Z, and wondered if this was the only place to get them from or if there was somewhere a little closer?
And also, which is better?
Thanks,
AddictedSomeone correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Aaron makes these anymore. The ausmicro shop hasn’t been operational for over a year.
Most people just upgrade the fets these days.
Jaycar carry some cheap rechargeable nimh aaa batteries – Powertechs.
Also get some bearings to replace those plastic bushings.
I want one too ! I’ll get one in the new year as I’ve got some batteries that need to be brought back from the dead.
November 27, 2009 at 5:33 am in reply to: Burncity MiniZ – Saturday Dec 5th 2009, Box Hill, Melbourne #59948Does anyone know if there is public transport from Melbourne airport to the venue ?
I can’t make this one due to a family emergency, but will try to make it to a future one next year.
Some photos of my mr03
For anyone interested, the cheapest place that I found to buy an mr03 chassis set is http://www.rc-champ.co.jp/
They have a special price of 13010 JPY delivered.
:big:
October 28, 2009 at 12:27 am in reply to: Melbourne Mini-Z super speedway! – Oct 17 2009, Box Hill, Melbourne #17941That looks awesome. Were there many people racing on the day ?
I’m tempted to fly down and back.
Woohoo.. My mr03 is on it’s way from Japan.
😀I couldn’t wait till christmas, so I’ve got my name down for a pre-order of the mr03 chassis set.
No Mini-z track in Sydney – none that I’m aware of. 🙁
Most people including myself, have had to make compromises by purchasing interlocking foam mats either from Supa cheap auto or Clark rubber and constructing a track for use at home.
The majority of rc people in Sydney race 1/10 scale in a club on a makeshift track on a tennis or netball courts.
I recall that palm runners use to be sold for $45 at hobby co in sydney cbd, but that was years ago.
I’m not really sure whether I want to get into this scale – just working on a micro-t makes me cringe because the screws are so **** small and I don’t have super steady hands anymore.
If the prices were a lot cheaper than what they are now, then I would probably get one to try out though.
In the last week I bought a mini-z 350z 2007 white body, painted it tamiya pearl white with black rear wing, mirrors, and carnards.
I then mounted it on the mini-z awd chassis only to find out that the rear of the autoscale is so low that it sc****s the ground – you can’t even press the rear of the car to test the springs out. Looks like kyosho got the mould wrong on this body.
I’ve some dremel work this weekend.
Why not start a new forum altogether over at http://www.freeforums.org/
It might be more cost effective in the long run.
You could try contacting Aaron on this link…
On ebay…
Also, check out shops from Japan – RC Champ
http://www.rc-champ.co.jp/Champ_International/International_index.htmShops from Hong Kong – Egr Mart
http://www.egrracing.com/shop/rc-car-kit-miniz-c-275_276.htmlEbay seller – Hobby Japan
http://stores.shop.ebay.com.au/Hobby-Japan__W0QQ_armrsZ1I’ve purchased mini-z from all of these sellers back when the value of the dollar was respectable.
I think the drift package light is more of an expensive rc toy car. If I recall, looking at the you tube clip, the steering isn’t analog, ie. like toy rc cars either center or full lock left or right. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
But I’m sure it’ll satisfy your thirst for some drifting action. Not sure if it could be used as a racer though.
In my opinion an no disrespect to the people that like clones, you should spend a little bit extra to get the mini-z mr015i. I recall that these were around the $130 mark when the dollar was a lot stronger.
The plastics and quality of the electronics of the clones just don’t match kyosho quality. I bought a clone previously and had to replace so many parts, actually I replaced the entire car with kyosho mr02 parts – a very expensive exercise. You really get what you pay for.
