I gotta bring the 1:10 as well with some witches hats…
Okay, I spent 30 minutes today playing ridge racer on my work colleagues psp, and the graphics although nice, it’s the game play and it arcadish feel which turned me off. If you turn too much, the car goes into drift mode and you spend the next few seconds trying to correct the drift… if you know what I mean.
I’m still not convinced whether I should get one though… unless gran turismo 4 comes out on it…

Every second Sunday is Tempe and last Sunday was rained out. Unfortunately, my clark rubber tiles won’t join with the supa cheap auto ones due to the middle peg on each side of the tile being different – so I won’t bring it.

A.
Thanks Aaron.
Do you want me to pay dgs or do a direct deposit into your account ?
How much btw ?
I’d be keen for meadowbank this Sunday if the rest of yous show up.
Nice track Morbid Monaro ! Looks very impressive.
Icebreaka, use a utility knife that you buy from the local bargain/hardware shop. Get yourself a metal ruler or something similar to help keep the knife in place when slicing through the foam.
The clark rubber tiles have excellent joins – they are extremely tight but unfortunately are quite expensive.
I finally finished my track. Had to use Selleys kwik grip contact adhesive for the remaining tiles – so am not sure if this will hold as well as the shoe goo does.
I’ll try an attach some photos over the weekend.
TD, I just bought a couple of yellow tiles and cut them into 2cm strips.

Nah, can’t make it on Tuesday nights – got family to look after as well as have to start work at 5.00am on Wednesday mornings.

Can’t say much has been done with my track at them moment… I’ve run out of glue and need another yellow tile from clark rubber.
It’s getting there though. I’ve got another 10 tiles to go.
A few of my work mates have had them for about 6 weeks now. It”s a really nice little unit -if you”ve seen the latest notebooks with the glossy screens, it”s similar quality but smaller.
Apparently aussie versions of it will come with a V2.0 firmware whereyou can’tplay your backups straight off the memory stick.
I won”t be getting one. I prefer to have a steering wheel when playing driving games.. Has anyone noticed that EB have the 4gamers steering wheels for xboxes for only $49 ? Bargain.

Those car”s of yours need some action and something to compare to performance wise… You know you Wanna :p Kev, Your Blue 01 PN mount is at Dave”s house for when you show up next… Cheers to All
Thanks, will pick up and pay next time at Dave’s house !
You’ll findrc shopsin Kwong Wah St. which is about a 5 minute walk from Mong Kok Station.
On a side note, I had some of those jay car alkaline AAs in my mini-z transmitter and without a few months use, they leaked acid big time…
Must be the cleaner air in Tassie.

I bought one of those sample packs of8 bcg batteries with the grey heat shrink from that battery place down in victoria – all were unused and all were corroded leaking acid 2 years down the track….
So I guess it depends if you have the original Tomy Battery or the after market ones.
I bought the 8 AA cell holder from jaycar but Ice couldn’t properly detect the correct number of batteries for some strange reason….
Charging 4 AA, or AAAs is fine.
I have to agree, it’s a top charger, but when discharging sub c batteries you got to use a powerful fan to blow from underneath otherwise hot hot hot !!
If you’re coming up can you please bringa pn motor mount for mr01 in blue.
BTW, 21st is no good for me, got a birthday party to host.
Yeah I’m following the tutorial as well, but instead of hot glue, I’m going to use a tube of shoe goo that I bought from Rebel sport a few months ago.
Oh.. and also going to do 12mm wide track barriers..1 yellow tile should give me enough track barriers to fit on 24 mats.
I got to say with so much traction – it makes the z’s hard to drive because they’re so quick to respond to steering input… it’s going to take some time to get use to.
Foam Tape doesn”t work. Stick with the glue. Heaps of traction on the smooth side…
I’m going to have to visit Clark Rubber again for some yellow tiles for the track barriers. The noodle stuff is simply going to break off even when glued to the mats.

I just picked up my 24 black tiles today. Got them for $200 AUD which is what I wanted to pay so a saving of $38 off normal retail.
The smooth surface looks like it has the most traction. I’ve got to test the foam tape to see if it holds up.
Went in to CR on Saturday and checked them out – they do interlock very well compared to the cheapy kids playmats.
I’ve placed my order for some !
Weighed it yesterday, now down to 1560 grams – I think that’s about as light as it will get, apart from getting titantium turn buckles and screws and drilling out the chassis as recommended by the tamiya handbook 2004.
Getting a base model and buying all the hop up options is a very expensive exercise. Next time I’m going for one of the top of the line chassis and be done with it.
Give it to Big Dave to do man – doesn’t he only charge a beer per battery or was that per solder connection ?
Hey Big Dave, how heavy did the TA05 weigh in at ?
